Techno dumbo here just loaded skype but cant find microphone is there one and where

Press the "Stop" button and hold it down until the amber light stops flashing that should reset it.

Check the settings on the skype for the microphone or speakers because most happens if your plug headset the default settings was the system microphone and speaker. So you have to manually configure then test your microphone and speaker also. Have a nice day

make sure your version of skype is the latest version. open up skype. in the main window that you see after logging in point your mouse to the tools dropdown menu. then click on options. then click on the audio settings tab on the left. under the microphone tab select your computers microphone or the microphone you are trying to use such as the webcam microphone. click on save. if it still doesnt work then try using a different microphone. if that doesnt work then reinstall your microphone driver. and repeat the steps before the reinstallation.

The problem is mainly your microphone or the other person's head phone...If he/she is able to hear other people but not able to hear you then it is a problem with your microphone.check the microphone,if you pass the test which is inbuilt in skype and still the other is not able to hear you try reinstalling the software.that ought to do the job.....

First test your microphone to see if it is working properly. Click on Start All Programs - Accessories - Entertainment - Sound recorder and record your voice and play it back.
If it does not work, then reinstall the microphone driver and test again. When the microphone works then open Skype and configure the Audio settings.

if you are using a headphone with microphone attached
control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick or select audio from the microphone drop down list make sure you have the right one selected and in the volume box make sure the microphone box has a tick in it or select the voice tab and make sure that you have the right media selected also select volume make sure the box for microphone has a tick in it
or you might have to tick in the mute box try to make a skype call then untick the mute box
