the adaptor is absolutely bad you have to change your adaptor, since it cant receive power any more it is not advise to fix it

easy just look at the power supply amd find a model number then go to google and type the number in and im sure you will find it!

SOURCE: Bad Power Supply for WD5000E035-00

I am also looking for a solution to this exact same problem. I have been advised to look at Newegg for a Rosewill SATA case with power. I have seen External Hard Drive Enclosures there but no mention of whether power is included unless that is what SATA means. Was also advised that $20 is a reasonable price plus shipping cost. I don't know if the WD5000E035-00 will fit in this enclosure. Tom W.

If you TV is totally dead set and no red light or green light on the front...


if that so the problem could be cause of dead set power power supply board...

You have 3 choices its either repair it on your own or took it to the technician or buy a new set of power supply board..

But for me I suggest to buy a new power supply board because if you took it to the technician cost of repair is almost or higher depends on the bad parts than the new power supply board...

But before you buy a new PSU please check this simple and common parts that usually cause of dead power supply board..
  1. Transistor----Check if shorted
  2. Capacitors----Check if bulged or leak.
  3. Resistors----Check if open or change value..
  4. Fuses---------Check if busted..

dude i think your power supply burnt out... yes its better if you buy new power supply but remember to check the wattage of your power supply... you must buy the same wattage because if you buy below the wattage there will be a tendency that the power supply will be burnt again... tnx dude please rate me if you think it help thanks...

Busted power supply
You might as well buy a new power supply. There's no point in trying to go through the circuitry on it and testing every little component to replace it and then try to figure out the specs of it and then order the little piece whatever it may be.

My recommendation, buy a new power supply :)

That is most likely a bad power supply but it could also be a bad mainboard. You can find replacement power supplies for under $50 so try that first.

I Definitely Suggest you just buy a new power supply,,,, If your power supply fails, you can have multiple issues with your ps3... Being as expensive as they are... i would just say your best bet is to buy a new power supply... As for where to buy... Definately ebay... way cheaper!... make sure you check people's ratings before buying.... If you dont have access to ebay, then i suggest hitting up a electronics store that sells ps3's... if anything it can be ordered in... :D Good luck... Please rate! :)

Leaking of transistors
no. not only is it cheaper in the end to buy a new supply, but there are most likely more parts (which may be hard to locate without special equipment) nuked than only the transistors. so buy a new one.
