I have an Apex PD 480 portable dvd player that won't stay on if you bump the adapter wires and you have to hold the car power supply cord in really hard for it to work. I thought it may be a short in the wires. What do you think?

For just over 2 yrs my Astar PD 3010 worked really well. Now it is giving me the following problems: 1) Even though the battery light flashes green it is not able to hold a charge for more than 10 mins; 2)...

You need a NEW Battery, and I also wonder if your Wall supply hasn't gone faulty too, you must swap out for a known good, i mean that;s all one can do. It does sound like your battery is definitely no good, you will have to test the adapter, with the battery removed, the PC, should work FINE, for as long as you want to use it.
