Check the connections at the element at the rear of the unit, at times these burn off and can be replaced,, be sure and get the eyelets with the correct heat range , also, look at the element itself for any white spots, if you see any it could indicate a burn in the element which would mean you need to replace it

Moffat oven doesn't heat .The elements don't turn red

Check the oven fuse. If that's OK, unplug it from the power supply. Remove the screws holding the element to the oven and pull it carefully back away from the oven wall. Connect your VOM test leads to the 2 terminals (meter set to at least 250Vac). Make sure the leads are not touching any metal parts of the oven and they are not touching the element. Plug oven in and turn the oven on. Do not touch the oven during testing. Reading 220 - 250 Vac power is OK. Element is bad. Reading lower then 220 or none at all no power getting to element, need more testing to find the problem. Be careful, and use common sense when working with and around electricity.

Why does the fan mode on the bottom oven on my zanussi Zou575 not working?

Because in Main Oven Cavity (large) around the convection fan is very powerful ring heating element 2500W (not visible) who works in the Fan mode. Therefore, it is not necessary that all heaters work because it will overheat the oven.

Oven won't heat

"heating and broil elements check ok?"...by using ohmmeter I assume? next step: unplug oven or remove power source; remove back cover of oven and ohm the thermocouple (unplugged) while heating/cooling it. Resistance readings should change quite a bit. If this checks out, your control board inside the panel is fried.A new one will cost $200-$300. If oven is more than 10 years old, I doubt if you'll find one.

U1442 main oven not heating

If you are sure there is 220v going to unit, it most likely is element or click / control. If you have a ohms meter, you can test the element

No heat in main oven, fan is working ok as is top oven. main oven was working ok then power was lost due to circuit breaker tripping??

You need to replace the oven element.
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment, behind a removeable cover.

It would appear that the main oven element is not working. I had a power cut whilst using the oven recently and have only just realised that the oven will not heat up. Everything else is working ok. If it...

If it is a fan forced oven, the element is round in shape and goes around the fan blade on the back wall of oven.
To replace: Turn off power!!
-Remove side racks from oven, then remove rear panel.
-You should now see fan blade and fan element.
-You need to remove oven from cavity, then remove rear outer panel.
-You can now access element- it will be held in place by 2 small nuts either side of element wiring connections. Disconnect element wires, unscrew nuts. Element is now removed!
Reverse procedure to reassemble and test. If oven is heating OK, also check main oven thermostat is regulating temperature (ie clicks on and off), as sometimes thermostat can fail if element has blown

No power in heating elements

Check from your receptacle to the plug to the back of the oven. Then the wires that attach to the elements. Sounds like this is your problem. If this is not it, then you may have a bad board.

Wont' heat in broil or bake

check incoming electric first, pull it out and gain access to main wire terminal, With multimeter set to at least 250v AC , check your power across the wiring as such. black to white (110v), red to white(110v) and then black to red 230v. if that ok ok turn, then start ckin elements for continuty also there might be a thermostat( usually an 1 in. round component with 2 wires located right inbetween the elements that has gone bad, will show no continuity. ck that before electronic control the fact that its clickin sounds like the relays are workin properly
