Whether that works or not, you might want to consider NOT using a driver at all.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). It will depend on the Make and Model of your TV set.

If you are using an Analogue TV or a Video Player/Recorder, it will have Line IN and AV IN connections (these are Yellow (Vision), Red (Audio) and White (Audio).

Page 14 lists the components that came with and are available for the Camcorder.

Page 50 contains the instructions for connecting the Camera to the TV or Video via the cable that came with the camera or a purchased SCART cable.

Page 60 contains the Specifications for the Camera and the cable type is listed under Connections section (Video Out and Audio Out).

NOTE: Not all digital TV's have the RCA connections. However, some do.

I believe you mean "application software", ie photo editing etc.
And then you are correct:
1. It will not work with Vista and never will.
2. You do not need it at all
3. Download Picasa 3 from Google.com (it is free and excellent)

Samsungs software (DVC Media) is not compatible with vista and their latest version is not available to most countries.

I use Vista and how I download is as follows:
1) Install DVC driver from disk (Ignore request to install media player). It can say error but I found it still worked.
2) Plug in a firewire (IEEE) cable to your camera and PC then use a authoring package to capture footage. I use adobe premier elements but can use a number of others.

You have not mentioned model number so I just can provide you Samsung Download link to see updates there.

I don't see anything in the US section on the website that comes close to that model number.

VP-D190i is the closest.

You will have to check with the mfgs website to find out if it doesn't load up and work with the XP dirvers.
