When I turn it on the screen turns white. The screen is all screwed up. I can still listen to music, I just can't see the menu or tell what anything says
It sounds like you might need to restore it. Dock it with the computer that you normally sync too and you should be able to restore it and get everything back.
this is james again my email is [email protected] mine is 8gb the name is philips it is going to a white screen it will not let me acsses the music it turns on to a white screen thanks......James Boggs
if you disconnect your mp3 player, does the screen still appear white and can you turn it on or off?
i had the same problem, basically it freezes because it is busy downloading music or placing music where it is suppost to be. but if you cannot turn it off after you have unplugged it, you should take off the back cover and take out the battery. place the battery back in, and replace the cover and it should be able to turn back on without a white screen.
or formatting it and starting over, see if that helps
easy way to format
1.Shutdown player 2.Hold Rec button 3.Turn player on 4.Plug your player into the PC 5.Go to My computer 6.Find a Icon named 16Mb Format 7.Open that and make a new text file 8.Name it sansa.fmt 9.unplug player and it will say Formatting..... 10.when its finished it will reset , or shut off, when its done turn it on and see if that helps
Maybe try taking the battery out and putting it back in, because once my mp3 player froze and that worked. It froze when I was going through menus when the song was playing still and it was probably too much...
let the battery run out then restart/reboot. if this does not work, you may just want to get another one because the problem could be your motherboard.
