looks as though the user profile might be corrupt. Try booting into safe mode or another user log in. If you can access safe mode create another account. Reboot computer normally and log into the new account. If new account works then you have a corrupt user account that would need to be fixed or just transfer all data to new account and remove old account.

After your monitor wake up, use your OSD to disable sleeping mode, hiberation mode or turn off monitor mode within power options.
Is it in sleep mode or hiberating mode? Green or orange lights on the top of the laptop for not fully charge battery or some signal lights for your brand of laptop? If the later, you can check the manual to see what those lights indicates. Otherwise, you may put on the power cord and press the power button to wake it up or restart it. Then set the preference for sleep mode or hiberating mode in control panel, power options. There also could be a hardware issue though. You may need to press on the position of the processor so it will sit firmly on the mainboard and if possible check the connection of cards and hard disks and memories and make sure they are well connected. If there is still an issue, you can try to flash the BIOS, reset the hard disk to factory default according to the manual or there might be an issue with the monitor. Try another monitor connected to the other VGA port of the laptop.
