Chef electronic dishwasher stuck on eco save - Magic Chef Dishwashers

Hold down Eco and Auto buttons together to enter program selection mode.

Sounds like control box is jammed.
It usually costs more to fix used appliances than they are worth.
I suggest upgrade to a new one.

If this is part of warranty repair then the technician should be asked to come back and fix. Try to turn off mains power and then use a clean damp cloth and run on the program selection panel on top of drawer lid. But most likely some dirt on the underside of the panel. Need to take controller out and clean it.

sounds like the electronic switch usually a Thyristor is not switching when you push the eco button, You could try disconnecting the the machine from the mains then push the buttong in and out a few times to see if the push button has a bit of dust on the contacts..

Sounds like the Anti-flood switch has been triggered - possibly due to overfilling. Check seal of water level pipe at each end.

float stuck or bad fill valve,valve screen plugged with sand, water line kinked,remove valve and clean screen.put back on dishwasher make up a test cord and see if it will fill if so hook back up and run dishwasher

You need to dry out the base of the machine thoroughly and it should re set

Try turning the taps on harder, I read that someone else had the same problem and this fixed it for them.

I'm assuming the programs are all selected electronically...then your pc board is on its way out. In this case you would have to replace the board...most electronic boards have "service programs" which you can check functions, but I'm not familiar with Hotpoint.... Oshie
