The BC350C is a factory programmed scanner, and as such it cannot be user programmed in the tradition way (entering a frequency via the keyboard). What you can do is transfer any frequency that is displayed in the SCAN or SEARCH mode into the PRIVATE bank - and save it for future scans. The best instructions for doing this are in the factory many that you can download and print, at no cost, here:

It used to be that you could reset a Uniden scanner by holding down the #2 and #9 buttons while turning on the radio - that MIGHT do a factory reset for you. Let me know.

30 channel 10 band radio scanner uniden 8c60xlt

You listed your question under the BC60XLT, which is a 10-channel scanner. With 30 channels, I'm guessing that yours is actually a BC60XLT-1. To program a known frequency into it:

- Power the scanner ON.
- Press MANUAL.
- Enter the channel number that you wish to program.
- Press MANUAL again. (NOTE: Instead of entering the channel number, you can press MANUAL repeatedly to advance to the desired channel.)
- Enter the frequency, including the decimal point.
- Press E to store the information in memory.
- Repeat the above for other channels.

More detailed information can be found in the scanner operating manual, which you can download/print here:

If your scanner is a different model, pleasd let me know.

Cant get know help to program my scanner

Programming the BC60XLT is simple and straightforward:

- Select the frequency to program.
- Select the channel that you wish to program it into. You can press MAN and the channel number, followed by MAN, or just repeatedly press MAN until the desired channel is displayed.
- Enter the frequency, including decimal point (for example, 156.065). The decimal will display as a dash.
- Press E. The frequency is now programmed into the scanner memory, and you can repeat the process to program any channel.

For more information on your scanner, you can download/print the operating manual here:

How do i program a uniden bc144xl scanner

I couldn't locate a manual for this one, but here's some programming guidance from Uniden:

Here are basic instructions for programming nearly all of the older scanners that Uniden produced. When the scanner is turned on press the MANUAL key, then press the channel number that you want to program first, then the MANUAL key again. This will stop the scanner from scanning and hold it on the channel that you want to program.
Then you enter the frequency (be sure to use the decimal point in the right area when entering in the frequency) and then press the E or ENTER button to save the frequency on the channel. You are now finished programming the channel. To advance to the next channel simply press the MANUAL key and enter your next frequency the same way that you entered it on the previous channel (as described at the beginning of this paragraph).

I hope this helps.

- Press MANUAL
- Enter your frequency, including the decimal point (e.g. 156.055)

Programing for uniden bearcat scanner bc 144xl

danval, I looked up a pic of your scanner and it is pretty straightforward. If it is the 16 channel I was looking at, here is the step by step programming.
1- Push manual button to go to the channel you want to start programming.
2- Enter the freq number in.
3- Push the E button to enter it in the memory.
4- To review what you programmed, push the Review button.
5- Use manual button to step to next channel and start over from #2
That should get you started with the scanning hobby.
The scanner has a Priority button that when activated will stop scanning and go immediatly to the priority channel if someone keys their mic.
If you need freq's (or more of) for your area, go here and click on your state and county and it'll give you a complete listing.
