I have a 1994 yz125, when I pull the clutch leaver in it won't spring back.I thought it might be the clutch cable so I got a new one but it still does the same thing. how do I fix this?

Keenan:

I'm not too familiar with the YZ125. If the clutch lever (where the lower end of the clutch cable connects) is on the outside of the transmission case, see if you can push the lever back and forth. Feel for resistance If the clutch lever moves both ways freely, the clutch return spring in the clutch is broken, or the clutch has failed. You'll have to drain the engine oil and remove the clutch cover. Then remove and disassemble the clutch to replace the return spring... or take it to a shop and have them do it.

Question when u tighten. Your pressure. Plate are them fingers suppose to move in or supposed. To be out alittle

The "fingers" are you describe them, are what the release bearing presses on to remove the pressure from the clutch disc when you press the clutch pedal in. As you tighten the clutch disc, the fingers will move in. And with a new clutch disc, they will move in fairly far. As the clutch disc wears, the fingers will get higher and higher, eventually to the point of clutch slippage and thus needed replacement. So don't be too concerned if they seem to be almost flat....they still have enough room to release the clutch disc.

I have a 97 passat TDI and the clutch pedal will stick to the floor from time to time when it does i either have to pry it up with my foot or reach down and pull it up by hand.....Any help would be great.

this case means the pressure plate have problem and very soon you have to replace it , anther case if you use or add. different liquids Dot3 instead of dot4 or if you have leakage inside near clutch pedal replace only clutch master upper , if you did not add. replace pressure plate and clutch plate inside .

I have an 02 Ford Fiesta. Rattling soun when clutch is depressed.

Unfortunately, you can't really tell until you have the parts in front of you. If the clutch showed no signs of slipping in any gear, then the disk and pressure plate are probably ok. Throwout bearing troubles are usually heard as a sort of screech when the pedal is depressed. If the pressure plate is the type that has 3 fingers that are pushed by the bearing and one of the fingers was bent/broken, it would make a rattling sound. If the car has considerable miles, it might be worthwhile to replace the whole assembly even though the clutch itself seems to working well. Hope this helps!

My 1993 chevrolet S-10 with a Manual Trans will not shift while the engine is running. I removed the inspection plate and saw the clutch disc's fingers look fine. The Clutch Slave Cylinder's rod is...

Nope the throw out bearing is fine if there is no noise from the bell housing, but it sounds like your clutch is worn and needs to be replaced. Good luck and check to see if your have enough fluid in your clutch hydraulic system and top it off and this may get you a few more days before you get the clutch replaced.

My car shifts hard from 1st to 2nd then to 3rd,check enginelight comes on right after,it wont shift out of 1st,

Sounds to me that you need to have your clutch replaced, it sounds like you have either broken teeth on the flywheel gear or bent or broken fingers on your clutch plate...
Hope this helps!

Speedometer problem?

release bearing probably worn out,or pressure plate diaphram fingers worn or broken, or possible input shaft bearing. at any case the clutch needs to be inspected and components repaired or replaced. I see release bearings go out quite often especially when driver likes to keep foot resting on clutch pedal while driving.
