Question about Acer Aspire™ T180 PC Desktop
I have invested in Driver Detective without any success in downloading or fixing the problem. I have had sound befor but has now gone. I have also tried various speakers incase i may have faulty ones. I have had Error code 10 come up also error code 39. I would most like to have my sound back. My system is the T180 Aspire Home Basic. Please help.
note it depends on whether you have Vista SP1 or not. Check what version you have first (press Windows + Pause/break key and see if the Welcome window says SP1 anywhere)

Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating
system when requested. Download and install the Audio drivers.
Try using the VLC Player. It comes with drivers and codec. I've seen it solve many sound and audio issues.
Try using VLC as your player. Go to www.google.com and in the search box type "download vlc" (without the quotes). Look for the Video Lan download from site www.videolan.org/vlc Download and install it. It downloads and installs in 3 minutes or so. It's a very fast player, smooth and it can play just about any type of dvd formats and media. It's totally FREE.
