it seem like capacitor is gone, as it is obvious that you do have limited knowledge of the tv, i would suggest sending it to the workshop, most aoc tv have two or three year warranty, you can check they warranty on this site:

select product and then model number and follow instructions, if it is still under warranty - your problem is solved, fill online form and that will be that, in most countries they even organise pick-up.

if it is out of warranty, on this same site you can find recommended repairer.

You probably have a power supply problem. The electrolytic capacitors are a high failure item in these TVs. I just replaced two capacitors in the power supplies of my two AOC TVs and got both of them working again. Repair will probably be much cheaper than replacing the TV. The capacitors will only cost a few dollars. The labor will be the greatest expense.

Hi there , sounds like there is a intermitant fault in the power supply , does it turn on when its cold and turn off when its hot ? .

This sounds like a common problem on these TVs. Try a factory reset:

1. Press and hold "Menu" and "Channel+" on the TV. (do not use the remote)
2. Using the other hand, press the Power button.
3. A small screen should appear in the top left part of the screen.
4. Using the remote, select "Memory Recall" and Enter.
5. Power off and reboot the TV and Computer.
6. Run channel auto-scan to regain the picture.

Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player. Look for any loose contacts in RC jacks/sockets/Cable.

Check your power outlet for any loose contacts.

Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours.

If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

turn off monitor
hold menu and power button together for 10 seconds
turn back on
osd unlocked

LCD speakers are really not that good, specially for smaller than 42". but it should not be that faint if your hardly hearing a sound, try to get a replacement unit.

You have a bad start relay in the power supply Replace it

how long does it stay powered on and do any of the lights flash if so how many times?
