Calibration manual for a Siltec WS500L person weigher.

Removing the power source should reset it. Personal scales do not normally need calibration.

Or contact them direct

How do I reset the scale?

If the scale is an electronic version, remove the batteries and wait a minute or two before replacing the batteries. That will probably zero the scale. If that doesn't work, it's time to buy new batteries.

Why won't my Siltec WS500 scales won't turn on?

It's a capacitor. Your son is probably right.

How do I change the batteries on my WW60X? I can't find my manual but was able to open the battery cover to get the number for the batteries. Now I can't get the batteries out of the scales. ...

Your Instruction Manual is here:

http://www.conaircanada.ca/pdf/en/ibs/en_WW60XC.pdf

Battery Replacement Instructions

1. Turn over the scale and open the battery door. (Push ribbed switch and pull up)
2. Replace old batteries with two new 3V Lithium batteries (CR2032).
3. Close battery door.
4. Properly dispose of old batteries.

There is nothing holding the batteries in place once the battery door is opened. If the batteries are difficult to remove, use a small screwdriver to gently pry up on the battery or simply after opening battery door invert the scale and shake.

Hello: my digital food scale (taylor digital biggest loser brand) goes on but it does not weigh anything. its stays at zero. i've had it a year but only used it once or twice, so its almost never been...

Hello, Maclay55 -

I hope you checked the owner's manual first, the troubleshooting / problem solving section.

It wouldn't hurt to put new batteries in the scale (2 AAA batteries).

Note: From the instructions for the scales:

6. Do not store scale where you store cleaning chemicals. The vapors from some household products may affect the electronic components of your scale. Do not store scale on its side.

7. This scale is an extremely sensitive weighing device. In order to prevent run down of the battery, do not store anything on the scale.

8. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak. Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix Alkaline, carbon-zinc (standard) or Nickel-Cadmium (rechargeable) batteries. Remove the batteries if the scale will not be used for a long period of time.
