My optical mouse's clicker and scroll button does not work. how do i get it fixed

In Control Panel there is a mouse section, you may have the clicking disabled. if you don't and it still isn't functioning then you have a bad touchpad and it will need to be replaced.

You can also test using a USB mouse to find out if you have clicking disabled.

Your clicker beneath the button is definitely broken. Unless you know how to replace it (by opening the mouse and putting an alternative) just buy a new one ;)

More then likely the button has worn out.The first thing I would try to check to see if its the button or not ,just plug a mouse in to the laptop and see if that works with left click if it does it just may need a new button put in.If your handy you may even be able to do it yourself.If you have any other questions just let me know.

If the entire mouse stopped it probably time for new batteries. If it is just the wheel then it could be a driver issue or setting. If those are ok ie the middle button wasn't disabled somehow or your computer figured it only has a 2 button mouse then its hardware. That means its replacement time. It's possible the switch or the sensor for the wheel are dirty so if you want to you can take it apart and try cleaning.

re-install the drivers for your device.

try deleting the device in your bluetooth preferences, and try re adding it.

connect your mouse. then restart your laptop do not remove mouse while restarting laptop. if not work after restart there is a problem in your mouse IC.

get the screw's out and check the support of you're scroll, and if the scroll button didn't move from its position. if is new take it to warranty for repair's.

Sorry to say it's most likely a failed switch on the mouse. You will have to replace it. Try a hard-wired mouse first if you can to confirm.
