One motor is heating up and is slipping - Jet 3 Ultra Power Chair

Open it up and check the belt inside. A belt is around the drum and around a pulley at the motor. If it is broken or has slipped off, then it wont spin.

-The pulley is attach to the motor. I believe the belt is slip off
or broken in this case.
-Unplug it and open the back cover to check the motor & the belt.

Bad or slipping blower motor
Slipping belts , if you model has it/ them.

That means you had too much hair in your beaterbar or that you had the vacuum set too low to the floor. The beaterbar stopped turning and the rubber belt was slipping creating friction and heating to the point of melting. When you vacuum check often that the powerhead (beaterbar) is moving. If the belt ever slips it stretches or melts in half and must be replaced.
If you were referring to the motor then there isn't much you can do but replace the motor.

Hello- A little odd. It sounds to me like the belt is slipping. Sometimes they get stretched out enough that there is not enough pressure on the idler pulley for it to make good contact with the motor pulley. The Idler pulley may be broken as well or the belt has slipped off of it. Another possibility is that the belt has slipped off the motor pulley and is not being driven by the motor. You, or someone, really need to open it and see how the components look when it is on, if possible.

The squeaking noise can be caused by any of the following.

Location High:

Belt slipping on the dryer drum

Worn Drum seals but would sound more like a dragging noise

Location Low:

Belt tensioner pulley bearing frozen and the idler pulley shaft is spinning inside the belt tensioner assy.

Belt slipping on the motor bearing

Motor bearing is dry

not sure how it is connected to shaft but.
1) the keway is worn out and or the key has fallen out.
2) the taper coupling is slipping because. it is dirty or has not been thghtened properly or has broke.

if it is a taper coupling the two halves will be pulled together as you tighten a series of bolts and it will lock to the shaft.
make sure you do a star pattern while tightening and once hand tight, only about 1/4 turn on each bolt as you tighten, till all bolts are tight.

You will have to go farther and remove the drum.
I believe your problem is that the belt has slipped off of the motor, or has slipped off the idler arm with pulley brackett.

If you hear a humming, then it is probably a broken or slipped belt from the motor to the drum. There is usually a pully on the shaft of the motor, a tensioner pully on a spring, and a groove on the back of the drum that the belt rides in. If this belt breaks or comes off track, the motor will still spin but the drum won't.

You will probably need to take the front or back off of the dryer (varies by model) to expose a view of the belt, and once you do this, it will be easier to see if the motor is turning or the belt has broken or slipped.

If the belt has slipped, be sure to inspect it for wear, and replace it if worn. Otherwise, it will slip again and you'll have to repeat the process.
