My xbox 360 wont trun on it makes a noise but it dous not go green

Check your connections. Make sure your A/V connections are secure. The 360 has a feature that if it doesn't detect the connection, it powers down.

Your xbox 360 may not actually be on if there's no green light and your controller won't connect. If pressing the power button doesn't turn on the console/green light doesn't come on then your motherboard may be bad.

There's a little button on the front of your 360 and the same button is on the front of the controller. You hit the button on the 360 and the green lights around the power button start to circle. Then you hit it on your controller and the green lights around thexbox guide button start to circle. In a second or two they'll find each other and both will flash at the same time, and it's synced up. I think there's a little symbol of air waves next to the button.

Try this it should fix your problem

this happens to me sometimes. what I do is poke the door inwards. like this:

1. push eject button so light is flashing
2. door should make a noise like it tries to open
3. push door inwards repeatedly
4. repeat as necessary

scrap 360 and get a ps3, u wont go wrong and try holding in the xbox circle button thing :)

If you have your 360 pointing up it will do that sometimes. Try laying it flat and making sure the disk isn' damaged.

Are you getting a Green light on the network port of the xbox?



If not the you may need to use a crossover cable. a striaght through cable (Normal Network Cable) wont work.

if you have a spare cable you can make one by cutting 4 wires

green
green stripe

connect orange to orange stripe
connect green to green stripe and so on,

does it make noise when u press edject; like it trys 2 open it ? if so try pressing gently the door up or down (or left & right if ur 360 is lying down)it should help. I have the same prob but as never been able 2 pinpoint an issue tell me if it work
