Iphone keeps telling me my SIM card is not recognised. I take it out and then put it back in. It gets recognised initially, but sooner or later (1 min - 1 hour) it will go back to not being recognised. This happened after a light fall.

3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

Also, Try this:

My phone keeps saying no service. What do I do?

Assuming you did the initial troubleshooting:

Battery pull and sim card removal; then place sim and battery back in.

The next step would be going to one of your carriers stores.  They can give you a test sim to put in your phone to verify whether or not its the sim card.

Hope this helps,
Bill

SIM card not installed

Same thing happened to me. This happens when the phone does not get reception. When that happens the phone goes into no service and says "sim card not installed". The solution is to take out the sim card from your iphone put it in another phone and make a phone call. Then take the sim card out and put it back in the iphone and make a call. At first you will see it will still say no service, but when it says calling you will see that after a while (6 or 7 seconds) the bars come up and it will display your carrier name.

Iphone

Hi,

two questions:
1. Do you use Mac or PC??
2. What version is your Iphone on now? 2.2?

Dont worry as of today ANY iphone on ANY version can be unlocked.

Im pretty sure that Ziphone is not uptodate anymore.
I recommend Pwnagetool or Quickpwn to unlock/jailbreak current versions of Iphone software.

Cannot import contact from sim card to iphone 3G

Turn off the iPhone before inserting the sim, insert sim, turn on, import contacts. If you put the sim in the phone without restarting it for some reason it doesn't get all the contacts sometimes.
