The keyboard gets locked into the upper case. How do I undo this or keep this from happening? I would appreciate a solution to this matter. I have a Logitech MK320. Right now I am typing okay, but sometimes the upper case gets locked and I do not know how to unlock.

Tablet onscreen keyboard keeps reversing capslock.

Hi Melissa

When does this happen? Hitting Return/Enter/or the

key will generally throw this up. It is also noticeable on spreadsheets which jump to the next specified cell and automatically create a leading upper case character in the cell just used. These are operating system or program settings.

Try noting when this happens and then re-create it to be sure. Log the sequence to see if there are any keys which are involved (also the length of time or even just tapping a key or spot on the tablet surface can have a totally different meaning)

Hope this helps....

Hi,

That UP arrow refers to an UPPER CASE letter. If ever you press the CAPS LOCK key, it should turn off, if it does not it means the CAPS LOCK key for some reason is stuck. Try restarting the computer and by then the CAPS LOCK should be disabled.

Please let me know if it helped by selecting YES. Thank you for choosing FixYa! Your rating will help me succeed and continuously help a lot people.

Hello, When typing on my Mo Droid if I want my caps to stay on how do I get that to work.....I tried holding it down but maybe I am not doing it properly?

If you are typing using the touchscreen, the upper-case arrow, touched once, will upper-case the next letter you type and then back to lower case. It you touch the upper-case arrow twice in a row, you should see a green light come on directly over it. That keeps the caps lock on.
If you are using the slide-out keyboard, touch the upper case key once and you should see a triangle underneath the cursor on the screen. That will upper case the next letter you type. To get it to stay in upper case, hit the upper case button again and the triangle should change to a > symbol, point up, underneath the cursor. That should keep it in upper case mode. Don't hold the upper case button down, as that won't do anything. A third press returns it to normal (lower case).

My screen is black. I think I may have put it in

depending on how the system is set up simply pressing the power button on keyboard or the PC
If you get no response no matter what you try then unplug the PC from the mains for 10 seconds. I have had this once where the ram went faulty and the system ended up needing new RAM but I think this is extremely rare especially in your case.

The arrows arent working, scroll lock must be on and I cant figure out how to undo. there is no scroll lock button

GOOD NEWS!
There is a scroll lock button on your computer and this is how you get to it.
Step 1
Click the Windows Start button which is located in the lower left corner of your screen.
Step 2
Click on All Programs. You will see a list of all the programs installed on your computer.
Step 3
Select Accessories from the list of available Programs. It is usually in the upper left on the list of available programs as the list is alphabetized.
Step 4
Select Accessibility, which is a sub-program of Accessories.
Step 5
Select the On-Screen Keyboard.
Step 6
Select the Scroll-Lock by clicking on the on-screen 'key' labelled 'slk' located upper right on the on-screen keyboard between the 'psc' and the 'brk' keys.

This should get that pesky scroll lock off right away!
Sincerely, CBR2009

Cannot find the upper case indicator (light) on the keyboard

More than likely you have purchased a keyboard without the lights. There is such a thing. I would try pressing the Num Lock, Caps Lock, and Scroll lock keys. If the keyboard has lights, you should easily be able to see three lights lit up. If not it is pretty safe to assume that the keyboard has no lights. Next time if you were to list the name and model of keyboard it would be easier to diagnose problems. More info is almost always more helpful. Hope this helps.

Keyboard stuck in upper case

Is the caps lock light illuminated? If so, you might have to hold shift and hit caps lock to turn off the caps lock. This is an option for old typists who came from manual typewriters that you might have turned on by mistake.
