Ensure that the printer has enough ink/toner if you haven't replaced this in a while this could be the cause (if it's ink and you haven't used it for ages the ink may have dried up) (if it's toner, take out the toner cart gentally and lightly sway it from side to side and re-insert the cart, this can let you get some more printing out of an "empty" cart)

if you have replaced the ink/toner recently try printing off a test page from the printers software or alternativly the windows printing device menu

Sometimes the only way to fix a printer issue like this is to complete uninstall the printer and reinstall.

You can visit Epson's website and search by model number for instructions and the newest drivers/software.

Thanks!

Replaced the ink cartridge now it will not print

*** I'll be more than happy to help you on that.
there is a great possibility that the nozzles of your printer are clogged by dried inks.maybe cause by the previous inks that you just replaced. we can check that by printing a nozzle check pattern.

1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder. 2. Turn off the Epson Stylus NX110 Series. 3. Hold down the nx110_tx110_ug.1.98.1.jpg Stop button as you press the nx110_tx110_ug.1.98.2.jpg On button to turn the Epson Stylus NX110 Series back on. When the nx110_tx110_ug.1.98.3.jpg On light begins to flash, release the nx110_tx110_ug.1.98.4.jpg Stop button. nx110_tx110_ug.1.98.5.jpg 4. Check the nozzle check pattern that prints to see if there are gaps in the lines. nx110_tx110_ug.1.98.6.jpg 5. If there are no gaps, the print head is clean and you can continue printing. If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, clean the print head. Using the Control Panel 1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder. 2. Make sure the Epson Stylus NX110 Series is on and the ink light is off. 3. Hold down the nx110_tx110_ug.1.99.1.jpg Stop button for three seconds to start the cleaning cycle, which lasts around one minute. The nx110_tx110_ug.1.99.2.jpg On light flashes throughout the cleaning cycle and stays on green when the cycle is finished. Caution:
Never turn off the Epson Stylus NX110 Series during a cleaning cycle or you may damage it. 4. Run a nozzle check to confirm that the print head is clean. You may need to clean the print head up to 4 times. You can also turn off the Epson Stylus NX110 Series and wait at least 6 hours. Then try printing again.

Does not print

***hi there,il be willing to help you on that. ****
the nozzles of the printer might be clogged by dried inks thats why when your printing, its feeding the paper, as if its printing but no inks on the paper. print a nozzle check to see which part or color have clogs, if there are gaps or breaks, do head cleaning untill no more gaps then try printing.
Running a Printer Check
1. Load a few sheets of plain paper in the sheet feeder. 2. Turn off the Epson Stylus NX100 Series. 3. Hold down the nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.1.jpg Stop button as you press the nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.2.jpg On button to turn the Epson Stylus NX100 Series back on. Hold down both buttons until the nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.3.jpg On light begins to flash, then release the buttons. 4. Check the nozzle check pattern that prints to see if there are gaps in the lines. nx100_tx100_ug.1.96.5.jpg 5. If there are no gaps, the print head is clean and you can continue printing. If there are gaps or the pattern is faint, clean the print head. If your printouts are unexpectedly light, or dots or lines are missing, you may need to clean the print head. This unclogs the nozzles so they can deliver ink properly. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only if quality declines.
You can also clean the print head by holding down the stop button on the printer for three seconds. (This only works when the red ink light is off.) Run a nozzle check to confirm that the print head is clean.
Caution: When you don’t turn on your printer for a long time, print quality can decline, so turn it on and print a few pages at least once a month to maintain good print quality. ***if my troubleshooting steps are helpful, pls vote for me, i will appreciate it, so that I can be a part of fixya, thanks, Godbless****

I have an Epson SX400. When using non-Epson

Short answer is no... The SSC utility stopped development about 3+ years ago and hasn't been compatible with newer printers produced since.

The SX400 does have a suitable reset utility if you do some searching for "adjprog tx400 download" BUT word of warning, look for a reputable source and don't just run stuff without checking thoroughly for virus/malware payloads.

Hope that helps.

Paper feed problem if not using plain paper

Check if you are selecting the correct type of paper on paper settings. If yes, delete the existing printer driver. Then install printer driver. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/support/supDetail.jsp?oid=14082&prodoid=24875245&infoType=Downloads&platform=Windows
