This is always because people buy modern SD Cards that are far too bit for older cameras. The maximum size for an SD Card is 2GB. Also you must format the card inside the camera.
Try inserting it to another device. If the phone can read the SD card, then there's no problem with SD card. There may be a problem with the card reader on the Samsung phone. You may also try to restart the samsung phone. Also, you can try to format the SD card on another cellphone (go to the memory card > option/menu > format or repair) or on a computer that has memory card reader.
I own a samsungDigimax 301, 3.2 mpi camera. When I inserted an SD card in the slot, the screen read " card error". Could you guide me as to dealing with this problem so that I may use the camera to take pictures this weekend? Thanks. Mathew.
I had the same problem and I tried everything. I couldn't think of anything else to do so I just turned my phone off and back on again. When I went back to the memory card menu on my phone all the folders that I lost re-appeared. I don't know if it would work on other phones but it's worth a try!
Did you try to format the card in the device thru Windows Media Player, or Rhapsody?
If so, try formatting it thru My Computer instead. My Computer>Device Name>Right Click and select format.
It is most likely NOT a virus if you have only put music on the device. It is most likely a corrupt file, or a database error.
Best of Luck.
