The easiest thing to try would be to restore from the last good point. have you done that?

let know also if you recently installed anything.

if not, we can try to renew the TCP/IP

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
ping neosmart.net
ping 209.200.246.147

Im trying to fix workin offline i cant get it to go away

Also, "Work Offline" is a choice on the browser menu. Look at the "File" dropdown menu (Explorer and Firefox) and if its checked, uncheck it!

"Offline" means an active network is not connected to the computer. You do not have a working internet cable or wireless connection.
It could also be (in the case of Windows) that the drivers are messed up, and that is a can of worms, especially since the most helpful things are online.
Is another computer able to use the same internet connection that you are using? This is a fix that may take a long time of questions and answers because it involves so many breakable points.

Try these steps below.
1. Have Internet Explorer open. 2. Hit the ALT key. 3. Click file 4. Is work offline checked. If its checked click on work offline. 5. That will remove the check for working offline. 6. Attempt to access any website.

If im going to open my internet explorer, it will display "working offline

it could be that your IE is set to "Work Offline" or it tried to connect but didn't find a connection setting.

1. Try to configure your internet setting
a. Go to control Panel -> Internet Options - > Connection Tab then LAN settings, then click on "Detect connection automatically

if it still dont work, do this:

2. Open your Internet Explorer, Click on FILE the click on "Work Offline" at the near bottom and hit RELOAD/REFRESH (or press F5)

Inspiron 6400 wirless connection

HI
If the browser shows working offline and wireless is connected fine then it could be an issue where work offline is checked in the browser.
In internet explorer 6 its found on File in the menu, if work offline is already checked, check it again to remove the check mark and then try, if its internet explorer 7 its found on tools, the same steps and in firefox under file,
Also try this step as well, if its internet explorer go to tools-internet options-and in internet options-go to connections tab-there is dial up and networking box-remove the dial up connections from the box-and check the one never dial a connection

also check the firewalls and antivirus programs, post your results.

thank you
