There is no T1030D manual posted on-line as of Sept 2011.
If you own this timer and want to help, then read information below.

Gardena does not respond to emails asking for manual.
Gardena site does not post manuals.
Anybody that has instruction manual in any language is invited to scan manual into file format and post instructions on flickr, then add a comment to this thread with link to flickr.

1) Sept 2011.
If you have a T1030D timer instruction manual, then that would be helpful for many people.
Scan manual into .jpg format (file format) and then post images on Flickr.
Add a comment with link to those images so expert can access the information.

2) Currently the only instruction manual is the following, where you can also send information saying what your instruction manual says:

3) That being said:
Let me add some guessing, and then you can add a comment with what you observe.
Between us we might be able to work out a solution.

4) I don't think you can set specific dates on either T1030 or T1030D
It appears the T1030D is a weekly timer, just like T1030.
The word 'date' does not appear in T1030 manual except 'date of purchase.'

5) T1030D: each day of the 7-day week is broken into hour 1 through 24.
Each day can have between 1 to 3 settings. I think this is frequency.
You can set the watering run-time from 1 to 120 minutes for each set time.

I cannot find T1030D manual posted anywhere, Aug 2011.
The Gardena site does not return emails or post manuals.
You can try the following 'possible instructions' and then add a comment saying what you discover.

I cannot find T1030D manual to help you solve the problem, other than suggest opening the cover using thumb-latch and change battery and clean the connections.

If you can scan your manual into pdf format and post it on your website, many folks would be happy to have a copy so fixya can help more folks solve Gardena problems.

Hi Richard,
1) Usually these timers want to know how often you want to water.
For example one setting might be for 3 days a week, and another setting for all days, and another setting for every other day.

2) Add a comment with in-focus photo of timer posted on Flickr for possible help.

3) You can also use Google translate. Enter whole sentences and paragraphs.
GT is handy resource for today's world.

4) If you can post your manual, then add a comment with link to manual, I will be glad to use google translate and then answer the question in English

I use google translate to translate manuals when in different language > enter whole paragraphs
