I reformated my computer and i figured out my computer doesn't have a video card but recently it works fine,, my monitor was plug in to that onboard video bus.. is there any sites where i can download the driver for the video controller,, (VGA),, pls... help with this.. i urgently needed your answers,,, thanks a lot

in the bios, there are usually settings for onboard devices. try turning off your onboard vga in the bios. and/or enabling/disabling pci-e video settings in the bios. it also helpful to ensure there is a monitor plugged into the video card. if there are 2 video outputs on the new card, try plugging the monitor into one, reboot, if nothing shows up, plug the monitor in the other one, reboot, if nothing shows up; i dont know :)

Did you add a video card? If you have an AGP slot, it is best to put the video card in it. If so you need to go into the Device manager. Remove, disable or uninstall the onboard VGA driver. Go ahead and remove the PCI video card driver as well. Power down PC. Make sure monitor is hooked up to the Video Card, not onboard VGA. Power on PC. When Windows loads, it should detect the VGA card first, but if it detects the onboard first, ignore and don't setup onboard first. When Windows detects the card, load the necessary drivers when prompted. There is no need to reinstall the onboard driver for the video unless you wish to hook up two monitors.
If you are sure that the monitor and cable are fine, then it is possible that the onboard video can be going bad. If you can regain the color while "jiggling" the cable at the connector to the computer and you are 100% certain the cable is bad, then this can indicate a loose connection of the plug to the mainboard. This is often caused by what is called a cold solder spot, where it has not adhered to the metals and thus causes a loose connection. If this is not the issue, then it is safe to say that perhaps the onboard video is going bad... assuming it is an onboard video since the unit is a slimline. If space permits, you can always add a video card and disable the onboard video.
Sounds like your monitor is not getting any signal. The monitor is probably working fine its the video card or connection that is having the problem. Check all cables, then check to make sure video card is working. Does your computer POST without any problems when you turn it on? Do you have an onboard video port and a AGP/PCI-e/PCI video port? If so, is your video connected to the onboard or the AGP/PCI-e/PCI
You were not very clear with your question. If you mean you have disabled your onboard video, then installed the new video card and get nothing then the card is not compatible with your system OR you got a bad card.
If you mean you simply installed the card, turn on your computer and get nothing until you move your monitor plug back to the original port (without turning off the computer) then you must disable your onboard video by going into your BIOS settings. Follow the instructions that came with your video card or your computer to do that. Usually you get in by pressing delete or F2 while the computer boots.
Do a reset: Turn the computer and monitor off. Unplug the monitor video cable from the computer and unplug the monitor power cord from the wall outlet. Let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes. Plug everything back in, turn on the monitor, then start the computer. Sometimes that will work.
If you still have the same problem, try to borrow a known to be good monitor from somebody. If it works, then you know your monitor is bad.
It's also possible that your video circuitry is bad. If the monitor plugs straight into the motherboard (onboard video), then you'll need to purchase a video card and install it. Disable the onboard video first.
The computer in question has two graphics cards in it. A GEForce 8400GS Graphics card and an onboard graphics card. It could be possible you are plugging the monitor cable into the wrong graphics card slot. The onboard graphics card slot may be a different color than the GEForce graphics card slot. Check the back of the computer to see if there is another spot to plug in the monitor.
