I have a Wireless controller for the X Box 360. The right toggle does not seem to be working properly. On a game with a person as the main theme. The person will just start spiining. It will catch he may start to move but then he starts to spin and cannot be stopped. We tried another controller and it worked fine. It seems to be a problem with the right one.

Try buying a different controller, or, if you want to take it into your own hands, clean the right thumb stick yourself with a slightly damp washcloth.

If buttons of your controller is not working we need to check the ff:
Wireless controller:
1. Check the wireless adapter if properly connected.
2. Reseat the wireless adapter.
3. Check if you are getting stable green lights in front of the xbox for connection notification.
TIP: It will be better if your wireless adapter is the wireless-N adapter.
4. You can check other wireless device to connect to xbox to isolate adapter issues.
5. If adapter is failing, replacement is needed.
Wired controller:
1. Controller needs to be checked.
2. Controller needs to be tried to a friends xbox. If working,port might be faulty.
3. If controller seems not to work with a different xbox.controller needs to be replaced.

If it has and LB and RB (left and right bumper) it is an xbox 360 conntroller. It could also be an xbox 360 for windows controller where it only works for a computer too. Hope this helps.
There is a sync button next to the Play and Charge port on the controller, all you have to do is press both the sync button on the Xbox and the controller and it should connect.
On the nonslim Xbox 360's the sync button is right next to the infared sensor and the memory card slots.
On the slim Xbox 360 the sync button will be right next to the usb ports on the front of the Xbox 360 console.
When you successfully start the sync the led's for the controller's and console's lights will spin and be ready for you to press the sync button on the other device.
(PS, you have to have both the console and the controller on for this to work; PPS, By controller on I mean having it searching)
click the button on the front of the 360 console... which is to the
right of the memory slots... when the ring of light is spinning around
click the button on the top of the controller... it will then connect
to that system. There after it will always look for that system. so if
you want to connect to a new system you push the button on the front of
the system and then the button on top of the controller.....
Yes you probably have to recharge it. To recharge it you must buy a cable or adapter, which can be bought from any gaming store which sells console components.
