Bought a new Logitech QuickCam version 11.1, comes up as Logitech Express/Go in my software. Have installed, uninstalled and reinstalled...following all software directions. My Skype works fine, however, the other party cannot see me. I made sure my settings were correction, privacy is off etc. Last night it worked...nothing changed...this morning it does not work. Any suggestions? Thanks, LB
I have the same problem, yesterday in the middle of a video call where each of us could see the other, the error box came up: "SKYPE HAS ENCOUNTERED A PROBLEM AND NEEDS TO SHUT DOWN" when I reopened Skype and re-called the number Skype worked fine, but the other party couldn't see me , even tho I could see me, and I was able to see the other party. I've removed and re-nstalled both Skype and my Logitech video cam, but still the same problem. HELP!

Web Camera’s have to be
setup on the program they are to be used with.Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to
broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for
the Audio and Video to function properly.
A.Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:
Go to TOOLS,
then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and
Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
Then
click on the Video Settings.
The
camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
Then
on the bottom of the page click on Save.
The camera and audio should function properly.Your friends and Family will now see and
talk to you.
B.Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up
as follows:
Go to Messenger
at the top left and click on it.
Next
go down to Preferences and click on it.
Next Calling
and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the
computer Audio Card.
Next
go to the Test Audio section and(in blue writing) click on“Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the
left window.
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so
you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps.Bud

Visit the Logitech website and browse the photo gallery for your model and click on the photo to navigate to the support page. Note - Older models on page 2 - look for the link at the bottom right of page 1 and click on it "Still can't find your product?"
In addition to the Logitech installer you will need to check the support software - Microsoft DirectX . This comes pre-loaded on most Windows computers but has to be updated - I am currently on version 11 To start the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, Hold down the windows key - with the flag - press R Type......... dxdiag ......in the Open box, and then click OK Run through the tabs checking the 'notes' windows for information The version will be shown on the 'Systems' tab
Procedure to re-install Logitech software Close all programs while uninstalling - downloading and uploading software Disconnect your webcam Uninstall the current webcam software on your computer Restart computer Download the Installation package from Logitech Run the installer and choose your options during the installation - You may not want Logitech Chat but the Desktop icon for the webcam toolbar is a must. Connect your webcam when prompted.
To operate a webcam you need a driver, this is the term for software written to operate hardware. The driver may be part of a software 'bundle'. This bundle is all the extras like a toolbar, video and webcam capture, Settings with all the refinements to get the best image and Video effects etc. If you were to download the Logitech software it would download as an Installer Wizard and contain the whole bundle
