I bought a ps3 from a guy online, did not know he was banned from call of duty black ops till today when i tried playing the game. im not a hacker or cheater what can i do to fix this please help me

Just hold power button for 5 sec when it beebs let off! this resets your video and will now let the game work! I did not realize if your tv settings are changed some games will work while others give an error. this fixed the problem for me on Black ops! Good luck.

Once you get banned theres nothing you can really do except making a new account.

Call 1-800-469-9269 and explain to them your situation.

Sony released Firmware update 3.56 that bans anyone hacking/cheating on Black Ops.

First think, were you using the voice chat AT ALL because you may have been reported by a little kid :P.
Do you have and offensive name/emblem/clan tag?
What did the message say when you got banned?

Unfortunately that particular controller has been noted for it's somewhat spotty performance. You may just have one of the many lemons for that product, so I suggest first taking the product, along with your receipt, back to where you bought it and asking for an exchange. (You did save the package, right? Maybe you don't need it if your just going to exchange it for another, but better safe then sorry.)

As for a long term solution, check online before you buy an aftermarket product like that. Reading the reviews on a place like Amazon will give you an idea of the product, and a list of things that are good and bad about it before you go out and buy one, either online or in a store. There are plenty of good items for the PS3, but there are some that haven't had enough work put into them yet.

PS3 error 80028E02 can be caused by different source of network blockages. If you happened to be in a filtered network, that's your most probable reason why your PS3 is unable to connect online. For example, if you're in a school campus, there's a high chance that the IT network administrator has placed some restrictions to prevent hackers and other malicious online activities. You can refer to the campus IT department to find out if you need to access their local page for some clearance in order for your PS3 to connect online.


If the modem or router is blocking your connection then it can be fixed by opening some ports

you will have to call your computer vendor to open the ports

This doesn't help much but I have the exact same problem and I KNOW it is not the disc. We have two PS3's. 1st one is a 120g and the 2nd is a 250g. We bought two disc, one for my husband and one for my son. Our 120g reads and plays both disc perfectly but when we put either one of the disc in our 250g we receive the 80010514 error. Neither disc will play in the 250g and both play perfectly in our 120g. We have tried everything Sony has told us all the way to the complete hard drive restore (the 14 hour one) Nothing will make it play. It recognizes the game and allows us to see backround game picture with option to start , get info, or internet search but when you start you get that error every single time. Like the guy above everyone of our other games and blu-ray disc work perfect. Playstation sent us our box to send in for repairs today so we will see what happens but from the research we have checked our guess is 1 of 2 things. Either there is some type of bug with the 250g not being able to run this specific game OR this could mean the blu-ray reader is about to go out but has not yet. I say this because I read something about Black Ops running faster and harder in the drive than other games because of some type of smooth texture graphics type thing. Not sure exactly what all that means but something about running the disc harder than other games. Kinda makes me think blu-ray is on the verge of going but who knows. So far I have only found others with the 250g having this problem. Luckily it's still under warranty so it's in Sony's hands now. Just hope they hurry and have some answers.

I've read that deleting the files for the game and/or signing out of PSN helps (I haven't tried either, but I can't get past the title screen and cutscenes without my PS3 freezing)
