Toshiba dvd player dosent work of my toshiba laptop says aero theme windows 7 standurd

How do I get the Aero desktop experience? The following editions of Windows 7 include Aero:

• Windows 7 Enterprise
• Windows 7 Home Premium
• Windows 7 Professional
• Windows 7 Ultimate

Aero is not included in Windows 7 Home Basic or Windows 7 Starter. You can find out which edition of Windows 7 you have on your computer by opening System in Control Panel.

The edition of Windows 7 you're running is displayed under Windows edition near the top of the window.
You also need to use a Windows theme to display Aero graphics. If you are using an Ease of Access theme, some elements such as transparency and thumbnail previews will not appear. To view which theme you are using, open Personalization in Control Panel.

The theme currently in use is highlighted.

You can just use Windows 7 without aero.
Just Google "Windows 8 theme" and you'll find matches.

Modifying your system files might cause your system to stop function properly or at all.

To disable Aero, click "Save Theme" under "My Themes" to make your current settings default, or select one of the themes under "My Themes." This will make that theme the default. b> Troubleshooter b> If you still cannot figure out why Windows changes the theme back to the default after restarting, you can use Windows's built-in troubleshooter. The troubleshooter will find the source of the problem and automatically fix it for you. To use the troubleshooter for your theme, open the "Control Panel" and click "System and Security." Then click "Troubleshoot Common Problems." Under "Action Center," select "Appearance and Personalization." The troubleshooter will run. Are you using Windows 7 Starter Edition? If yes, then you cannot change the wallpaper.
Windows 7 Starter has limitations:

Windows 7 Starter does not include:

* Aero Glass, meaning you can only use the Windows Basic or other opaque themes. It also means you do not get Taskbar Previews or Aero Peek.
* Personalization features for changing desktop backgrounds, window colors, or sound schemes.
* The ability to switch between users without having to log off.
* 64 bit version
* Multi-monitor support.
* DVD playback.
* Windows Media Center for watching recorded TV or other media.
* Remote Media Streaming for streaming your music, videos, and recorded TV from your home computer.
* Domain support for business customers.
* XP Mode for those that want the ability to run older Windows XP programs on Windows 7.

I suggest that you upgrade your Windows 7 Starter to Windows 7 Home Premium.

Do you have Itunes installed?

You will not have the Transparency option if you have a Basic and High Contrast Theme instead of a Aero Theme.

Aero Requirements to be Enabled in Windows 7:
NOTE: If Aero is not enabled, then Transparency will not work even when enabled.

• 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
• 1 GB of system memory
• A graphics card with support for DirectX 9 graphics with at least 128 MB of memory.
• The graphics card must support Pixel Shader 2.0 and the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM).
• You must be have True Color (32 bit) set instead of High Color (16 bit).
• The desktop composition and Animate controls and elements inside windows options enabled in Visual Effects.
• Refresh or update your WEI score.
