My PORTABLE. DVD MAKES NOISES PHILLIP

There are 2 possible causes. Either the bearings for the spindle motor, or the tracking mechanism for the laser. It depends on when you're hearing the noise. If the noise is heard continuously then the spindle motor bearings may simply be dirty. If this device has hinged lid to allow the loading of your discs; then open it and remove any loaded disc. In the middle is where the spindle motor is mounted, and the locking mechanism that holds them into place. One small drop of lightweight household oil such as what you'd use to lubricate an electric shaving device would be all it takes right into the spindle top where you press with your finger to unlock your loaded discs. Put in a drop and spin it with your finger.
Next, look into open space of the chassis where the laser is mounted. Use a cotton swab or small brush to remove any dust or grime from way screw and guide shafts. Look at the plastic gears for broken teeth. There will be ribbon style electric cable connector; make sure that a loop of it isn't sticking up into the area of the disc tray...if it is, carefully reposition it.

Drawer off track

if it is the drawer dishwasher, then first you need to take the front cover off carefully. Turn the mains power off and take the power plug out from socket if accessible. With a plier pull out the pins on each side of the drawer holding the front cover. Carefully pull out the front cover and leave it aside. Find where the drawer has come off the rails. Extend the rail arms on each side and try to replace the drawer on the guide rail and latch it back in. Make sure the controller and top display panel do not fall off when handling the drawer. Once the drawer is back on rail, put the top cover back and secure the pins from the sides. Put the mains power back.

Dd6031 find it very difficult to close top drawer-seems something is blocking it-it has just happened

The likely culprit is the drawer seal which is located at the inside top of the housing.

YOu will need to take the drawer out by pulling the plastic pins on each side to release the front cover. Turn off mains power to the unit.

Inspect the top inside to see if the seal is broken or rigid. It should move in if you press. If rigid then the actuator motors are misalinged or faulty. Needs service.

Hopefully if the seal is ok, then it is likely the drawer had come off the rail and was not going to the end. Put drawer back in making sure it is sitting with ease on the track. Replace front cover and test.

I have a MieleG2142. One of the racks is not sliding smoothly which I believe I have narrowed down to one of the wheels in the rail guides not turning. How are the rail guides removed?

Hi dear.Try this.Pull the top basket towards you.Check on the side (if you can) back of the basket two of the wheels on top row should be on rail guide & third one just under the rail guide to support the basket. It should be even on both side of basket to run smoothly. If not pull the basket all the way towards you & lift up the basket you are holding.Basket will be free to come out of rail guide.(Please check, are the rail guides running in & out freely without basket? If not there are two plastic wheel inside of the each rail guide one or two of it must be damaged. That needs to be replaced. Please also check side wheels on the basket, they sould be freely turning. If not needs to be replaced.) If that did not work out,try to put back the basket even way to rail guide the way took it off.Contact Miele for assitants.Thanks.Goodluck.

Plastic Guide rail on sunroof broke

I just purchased a used yukon xl. Both plastic rails are broken.
Solution: Drill out the blind rivet. Start with 1/8 drill bit and remove the head off. The plastic broken part can now be removed.
Install a blind rivet through the new plastic rail and use the rivet gun to squeeze the rivet in place. Make sure it is the right length.
get a grip gage and determine the right rivet for it.
very easy job.

WIndow

If your window is off the track and sliding forward (leaving a gap at the rear) when you roll it down; the plastic guide that fits into the track is likely broken and very easy to replace. There should be a hole drilled into your at the top rear of the window where a plastic clip can snap in. Most auto part stores have these for sale or the dealer can be a last ditch alternative. Installation is a snap, literally (forgive the pun), roll your window half way down, you fold the clip over into the hole, snap it together and fit the window and the clip back in the the rail. Usually you can just grab hold of the top of the window and push the whole thing into the rail. Good Luck! Nick

Kinderkraft crib model 710

On the bottom of the front rail that drops (the drop rail), there are two plastic tension pieces (one at either end) that engage the two fixed, bottom rail slider hardware (the long, narrow pieces screwed top-and-bottom into the lower, inside portion of the tall, upright crib ends). These tension pieces are spring loaded, and the outer edge of each one rides along the outside (i.e., the parent's side) of the two bottom metal rail guides. Their purpose is to supply outward pressure against the lower part of the drop rail - that's what you push against when you press your lower leg upon the bottom of the drop side of the crib to lower it. They insure that when up, the drop side locks safely into place. I suspect these tension pieces are your problem. It sounds like they are improperly installed. Good luck.

Drastic Need for 2 Upper Tracks...

if you have the conversion kit for the crib to convert to a toddler bed, you should also have the white caps that go one the end of the guard rails for the toddler bed. I found with mine that they are the same ones as that are on the stationary side of the crib on the back side. if you do not mind having a crib with out a drop side you can remove both tracks and take those pieces and make it a stationary crib by merely following the way the rear side is put together. I have done it with mine as a guide was broken on mine. there should be four caps in the conversion kit that go on the two rails on the front side when you convert to a day bed. I figured out that they are the same as the ones on the back because you do actually use the ones off of the back side when you make it a toddler bed and put all four rail on.
