Hello my name is brandy leto,
the problem started when my starter went out and my battery died. Now the problem is when i go to turn on my factory radio/tape/cd player it asks for a code i don't know what code its looking for but i would like to listen to my radio again. My car is a 1996 Honda Accord.
Re: hello my name is brandy leto, the problem started
I thing if you dont have the code to reset your radio youll have to take it to the dealer so they reset it for you. or call the dealer see what they tell you first.

hello to Brandy
what does turn over mean to you, (me means ZERO)
the words are
cranks fast. or does crank at all
or cranks fast but engine will not start or run or stay running or only runs 1 to 10seconds (IMMO unhappy)
we are blind here and deaf too
we can not hear your starter motor run or fail or be super weak (slow)
sorry no can do
the starter spins (turns)
the engine many spin (turns)
and some people call turns over mean running engines, Turns means zero in the real world lacking qualifiers in the statement , sorry .
solenoid or relay stuck, if water has managed to get in over the 2 years or its corroded up the connections will connect, when the power went in the first time it moved but is unable to go back into the original off position.
Clicking noise where ? under the hood in the engine compartment ,the starter , a relay in the fuse box , inside the vehicle etc.... Checking the battery , battery cables and connections , do the headlamps work ,are they bright ?
If the headlamps work and are bright then the battery an connections are Ok . If not bright ,voltage drop test the main battery cables an connections . How to voltage drop test starter motor circuit
The starting system on your vehicle is different then this , a tipical starting . Your starter system is more complex ,when you turn the key to the start position it inputs a voltage signal to the BCM - body control module , The BCM then sends a message to the PCM - engine computer on the class 2 serial data communication network that start is requested . The PCM will then supply a ground to the control side of the start relay energizing the relay sending B+ voltage to the starter solenoid .
The vehicle dying on you could be any number of thing's ,and without testing we'd only be guessing . When electronic thing's heat up they tend to act like that , till they cool again .
have the alternator regulator and diodes tested. sometimes when the regulators fail they allow ac voltage to go to the battery. ac voltage doesn't charge the battery properly (causes it to deep cycle and shortens its life) and causes all sorts of funny problems with the car. also make sure the battery is secured properly, vibration isn't good for them at all.
