Hi! my 6680 after being turned on for 5 mins. the screen just went blank.but it is still working except that the screen is all white (blank). what will i do?

You need to check your CPU temperature maybe it overheat need to cool down for 5 mins. Your CPU need some maintenance for cleaning.

Some good advice from someone who has been looking for this solution for many months, FORGET jumper solutions because you are just wasting your time with this and forget reheating the board as well.
I do not have a diagram to upload but those of you should know where the black bga chip is on the left hand side of the keypad system connector, that is all you have to replace, no jumpers needed. I have just finished my fourth N70 in this way, just change the chip and nothing else.
you can also find the chip on 6680 board.

try holding the power and the square at the same time till it shuts downand the apple logo shows up then release

try taking out the battery without turning it off first then turn it right back on after a few seconds

Try removing your battery for about 5 mins and place it back. This time it should start properly.

This must surely be a problem with your monitor, because you say that you see the white screen while boot up. If this is a graphic driver issue, you may have the problem after booting up in windows. Since its been only a month old laptop, the product must be in warranty for sure. Take away any CDs in the drive, any USB drives and see if this white screen appears. Let us know.

I was having a similar problem, Except that my Touchpad WORKED, You just coudln't see it working. It made noises though.

Anyways, now I have to (instead of opening the screen to view it like usual) hit the unlock button (third down on the left side) and the screen appears.

We aren't having the same problem, but it's similar. Maybe it'll work?
