Hi,
There are two possible causes for this problem, either AC cord is internally broken or power supply board got defective for some reason.
Let me know model number of tv to find out helpful info/ suggest a solution.
Thanks.

Tv is working but if I switch it off after that is not going on again, need few hours to go on again

Are you getting sound and picture, when it is on? Have you checked for any loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable, socket etc? These minor things, if over looked, can cause such problems. If these are already checked by you, you need to look for any bulgy capacitors in the other boards, especially the display board (provided sound is ok).

LG LED 4600 - TV power ons but nothing comes up on the screen. No sound No picture. The remote power on light indicates Red or White as and when we press the power on remote button. Please suggest

Do you at least get a blue screen? Usually with no picture you get a blue screen. Try hooking up a DVD Player to it and see what you get... Good luck...Keep me posted ..Sincerely HDTV GURU JAY.

No red led power light. no power at all

Try unplugging it and then replugging it into the outlet. Try moving it to another outlet to make sure the power is good. Try a new power cable. If all else fails, contact LG's warranty service if the TV still is covered.

No power going to LG 42 inch plasma, tried changing fuse in plug and tried a different power lead and still nothing (no standby light etc)

Hello,
since you have change the fuse in plug, this indicate that your plug is okay, the likely problem is from the television which will require you to open the television to check for fuses, bulged capacitors, but if otherwise your power supply is dead.It can be dead at anytimes.Tries websites Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Hope this help.....

I can't turn on my 32 inch plasma tv by LG.A green light flashes twice on the power indicator than turns red.

The flashing indicator is telling you the fault. Give the number of flashes to the LG service department and they can help you with your issue. It will likely need service.

Can't get monitor to power on

I have a similar switch on mine, although mine is a Gateway. So my solution is going to assume the same indicators and functionality.

On mine, a blue-violet power switch indicates it is off, red indicates standby mode, and blue to indicate it is on and/or searching for a signal. When turned on (blue), the monitor will go to standby mode (red) after 3 to 4 seconds if it does not detect a source signal. So if you toggle the power switch to blue and it soon changes to red, you'll need to check your signal, cable, or possibly for a bad source connection on the monitor.
