I want to delete the alert tone when I receive an email through the mobile email feature on LG Dare

menu/settings/phone profiles, select profile, then choose options at the low left corner of display. Here, you can adjust type of sounds you want and its loudness. Navigate to the right with your central button and here you are navigating downwards: 1. - message alert type chooser, 2. - message alert tone, 3. - message alert repetition, 4. - email alert type, 5. - email alert tone, email alert repetition, and finaly, 6. - alert tone volume. To enter into the submenu, first click direct the central button, and then choose the volume with left or right part of your central button. I am not a perfect english speaker, therefore I hope I was clear enough making this explanation.

pretty much stuck with one tone

Go to tools menu>Audio & ring tones>Alert type>Message alert tones. Choose silent and click set. This will disable all email and voicemail alert tones.

I think that there is no feature for changing msg tones in that mobile.

You can't. Verizon never created that option.

Menu>Settings>Sounds>Messaging>(And Now you can customize. There should be a list of defaulted "tones, melodies, my content, etc." that you can personalize for you messaging sounds)

what kind of email you on.? if its hotmail then you can go into settings and click 'alert me when i have a new email'

Are you talking about Mobile E-mail. If you are then there is no way to change the tone that I know of.

OMG I figured it out. Spread the work far and near!!!!
Open your account. Open an email open options at the bottom. Scroll to Preferences pick never, click save. Wooooooohooooooooo!!

1) Open the menu, and go to profiles.
2) Enter the general option, and click on personalise.
3) after that, several option appears.
4) some of them are ringing tone, ringing type, ringing volume, message alert tone, vibrating alert, etc.
5) Go to message alert tone and change the tone u want to listen when message is received.
NOte :Only wav or midi formats are accepted as ringing tone. MP3s are not accepted as ringing tones in NOKIA 6600. U need to install a software "mp3 as ringing tone" or "mp2wmaogg.codec" to make mp3 as ringing tone.
