My flymo H33 mower has blunt blades. Are they worth repairing and where in Brisbane?

my search shows that up as a
Rota-twin GR101 mower
black and decker /flymo electric mower type

no picture on the parts list
of the rotating part being metal

two types of blade sets ...says its plastic and just clips on

is that for real ....plastic clip on mower blades


will this work
pull to the larger slot to release the old blade and back to the smaller slot to hold the new blade in place

You can put spacers under the blade, a twin pack of spacers are available from Flymo part no. 513811081., from memory you are allowed to fit three spacers.

If the machine does a job for you and does it well it is. Most mowers have what is called the "blade adapter" piece which slides up onto the bottom of the crankshaft above the blade. If a "plate" is broken, parts may be available or you could have a welder fashion you one using the broken one as a guide.

It is a matter of unscrewing the bolt that holds the blade on just make sure when installing the new blade that it locks into the mounting shaft correctly on some mowers there is a mating hole to shaft pattern that allows the blade to interlock onto the shaft yours may just have a rectangular support the blade fits into just make sure when you tighten the blade it is set into the shaft correctly and you are wearing a pair of raw hide gloves when holding the blade as you tighten or somehow block the blade with a piece of two by four wood.

Replace the disc.

you twist the plate holding the blades and it will lift off, then you turn the blade plate upside down and replace making sure you align the notches and then twist to lock into place. hope this helps
