When you turn the key, you should here a buzzing sound for a second or two. If you don't, check this. Spray gas or engine starter into the carborator. Try to start the car. If it starts and dies instantly, fuel problem. Check fuel pump fuse, if equipped. Check to see if pump is sending fuel to fuel filter. Check inside fuel filter. After, it is either one if the test are negative. If you need anything else, please let me know. I am here to help in anyway I can. Thank you so much for choosing FixYa.

Is the fuel pump still able to work if the fuel cutout is triggered?

The fuel inertia switch cuts power going to the fuel pump if it is triggered. It is a simple on/off switch. The pump doesn't get power if it is off.

2006 Ford Expedition blowing Fuel Pump Relay fuse

Try resetting fuel pump. I do believe the reset button is on the forward passengers side of vehicle. The button is behind the plastic shield. Reset once or twice. This hopefully will fix your problem. Look in your manual for exact placement of fuel pump reset button

Won't crank, fuel pump not working, appears that ecm is not suppling a ground for the relay for crank and fuel pump

If the fuel pump isn't working, the pump most likely has went out and needs replaced. What have you done for you to think it's a ground and not the pump itself.

I have a 2001 S-10 while driving down roar it stopped when I tried to restart the fuel pump was not working the next morning it started right up now one time it will work and the next time it won't do you...

I think it is the fuel pump that is causing you issues. If this is occuring after you have driven the vehilce for a while then it is likely that the fuel pump is failing after it heats up and shutting down.

I don't think the fuel pump is pumping. Car wont

you would have to fnd the gas line that goes to your motor disconnect and crank car to see if feul comes ,but some cars have a fuel line with a valve that you push in the little pin in the middle and should shoot out fuel looks like your aircondition line but it should be next to fuel injection line

95 grand am. it starts up for 15 minutes then it stalls. and the more it runs the more it stalls. we think its the fuel pump.

You are thinking right.
Try the Fuel Filter first and see if that helps or fixes it.
If not then go ahead and replace the Fuel Filter.
Most Fuel Pump Warraties require a new Fuel Filter.
The Fuel Pump failure is obvious when the engine warms-up (fuel pump is working longer). The longer the Bad Fuel Pump works the more likely it is to stop working. Waiting allows the Fuel Pump to cool down and allows it to engage again.

Should fuel pump run all the time

I would think so since its job it to pump fuel to the engine. I have never heard of a fuel pump working like a a/c compressor. On and off. I think it always suppose to pump fuel to the engine. If the pump is not working your engine is not running.

Fuel pump

you are up against some diabolical engineering.
When I dismantled my pintara fuel pump I found that nissan engineers think it is good to put 12V CONNECTORS INSIDE THE FUEL TANK!
Have you tried tapping the housing with a spanner before starting the engine? worked for me. Its a circular housing behind the rear seat. Dont replace pump with a GOSS fuel pump they are useless.
Anyway I'll never buy another car that has high current electrical connectors immersed in petrol vapour!
I think the best thing to do is put another fuel pump in the engine bay. Also check the modulator. Its the black thing at the end of the fuel rail.
The best advice I can offer is DONT BUY A NISSAN!!!!!
