If you clean the dirt off the carb, the series no. and model no. will be etched into the body of the carb by the fuel inlet nozzel.

I have an older homelite leaf blower that has not been in use for several years. I put new fuel lines, fuel filter and spark plug on it and clealed resister in muffler. When I try to start it, it will...

The gaskets and the pliable diaphragms in the carb have dried out. Therefore, the carb cannot deliver fuel to the engine. Disassembly and cleaning of the carb will be required (esp. if very old fuel left to dry inside it). After that, a rebuild kit or at the least; a gasket and diaphragm kit will need to be installed. This will then enable fuel to get to the engine. If you repost the exact model number of this machine, I can reply with the part number for a rebuild or gasket and diaphragm kit. Your unit has probably a Zama (will be wrote on the cover with vent-hole) or Walbro carburetor. Kits are available for both.

What is the carb model # for zr05870, Its a Walbro carb?

From the pictures in the parts breakdown, this appears to be one of the newer model rotary-type carburetors. It is listed as part number 308028001. There is no mention of this machine in the Walbro carburetor application guide however. After viewing the picture and with the prefix of the carburetor known, you should be able to locate it on the Walbro website. I have the link to your machine's parts breakdown and to the Different Walbro models. Please view:

Ryobi pbv-30a will not start this blower was used about six times but is now out of warranty has a strong spark but will make no effort to start

Hi, Make sure your fuel /oil mix is correct, then, take a capfull of fuel and pour a few drops down the cylinder. After replacing the plug, give the starter a try. With fuel in the chamber and a confirmed spark, the engine has no choice but to fire. From here, you can determine if the idle adjustment needs to be changed. Hope this helps.

Need A parts diagram for a Sthil G65 Blower carb.

Unfortunately, Stihl won't release any of their illustrated parts diagrams to anyone except Stihl dealers. The dealers won't release them either. It is possible that the manufacturer of the carb will have a breakdown listed on their site. Stihl primarily uses either zama carbs (www.zamacarb.com) or Walbro carbs (www.walbro.com). Look on the carb for engraved numbers and letters to let you know what series and model to search on. The manufacturer is usually listed either on the bottom diaphragm plate or up on top. Walbro series usually start with a WT, or WA. Zama will usually have a C series (ex. C1U)

Good luck!

Flooding walbro carb from blower.

The problem centers around the carburetor. The question lies in the condition and operation of the carb initially.
It appears you may need to double check your assembly of diaphragms and gaskets. check for loose welch plugs, adjustment needles in the wrong holes, inlet needle set too high.

*note: metering side diaphragm goes on top of the gasket, fuel pump diahragm has the gasket on top of it.

Can't figure out type of carburetor on my leaf blower.

I have seen 2 different carburetors used on this unit. A Walbro and a Zama. You will need to get the information off the carb. (Walbro WYC-10 or Zama K39A) are the two I have seen, but you need to be sure what yours is. Then purchase the correct O/H kit and rebuild it.
