Hello, The replacement clock is no longer avaliable from Jenn Air however in my appliance repair career i run across many still in the field and have included a link for this place in Ohio that will rebuild it and send it back to you. What you would need to do or have a company come and do is remove the clock and ship it to them.Their is a curcuit in the clock that ties into the oven and its very probable that the oven not working is related to teh clock. http://www.appliancetimers.com/index.php?page=db_timer_page&Timer_id=7052&Manufacturer=Jenn-Air&Appliance=Range-Stove-Oven&Model=712024 this is their link contact them and see if they can rebuild yours. If you, or even a repair company remove it to be shipped off to rebuild, take time and make a drawing of where the wires on it go so they can be reinstalled properly once its back to you freshly rebuilt. Also be sure to insulate all the wires taken off since some will be live and if come in contact with metal without proper insulation they could short out something else.
HI. this is a Communication error between boards. Check the wiring harness that links the Power relay board to the Main board. if the harness is fouled on any way, replace it asap. if the harness is in good condition, replace the power relay board.
I have the exact same problem with an F5 fault code. I also have a new clock assembly. RepairClinic.com said "Jenn Air fault code F5 = Hardware and watchdog circuits disagree / Replace clock assembly (also called the ERC)
Jenn Air Fault code for newer models F5 = Power to element relays disabled in cook mode 1. Intermittent oven temperature sensor or wire harness or, 2. Intermittent contact on power relay board" This doesn't help since it is too technical. What should I do next?
This model of cook top needs the 4 wire install because it has both 220v and 110v circuits. The forth wire is a neutral that operates the 110v circuit. You can move the ground of the 3 wire outlet to neutral, but ONLY! if the ground wire is insulated. What this will do is give you both your 220v and 110v circuits. The problem with that is your cook top will not be grounded. The best solution is to locate a neutral wire and tap into it, this will give you your 4 wire circuit. Your missing a neutral in a 3 wire outlet.
THE ONLY SOLUTION FOR THE BAD DISPLAY IS TO REPLACE THE CLOCK. I HAVE A JENN AIR OVEN TODAY AS A WORK ORDER TO REPLACE THE CLOCK FOR A FAILED DISPLAY.
FOR THE JGW8130DDB WITH NO POWER ANYWHERE, IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A SUPPLY PROBLEM. MAKE SURE THE WIRING IS HOOKED UP WITH THE RED AND WHITE WIRES RECEIVING 240 VOLTS AND THE WHITE WIRE ATTACHED TO NEUTRAL / GROUND.IF THE OVEN HAS A BARE COPPER WIRE AND THE HOUSEHOLD WIRING ONLY HAS THREE WIRES, COMBINE THE WHITE WIRE AND THE COPPER WIRE TOGETHER AND ATTACH TO THE HOUSEHOLD NEUTRAL / GROUND .
UNLESS YOU ARE SURE ABOUT THE HOOKUP IN THE BREAKER/FUSE BOX, DO NOT GO SIMPLY BY THE COLOR OF THE WIRES.
hi
shut off power to the unit, let it sit for a while then turn the power back on. test the oven again, if the code comes back call 1-800-Jenn-Air and ask them what the code means.
This means that the Power to element
relay energized during time of day display. You have a problem with the wiring harness and it is shorted or you need to change the power relay board (PRB). If it is a double oven, you need to change second oven board.
