Tc = (5/9) x (Tf-32); Tc = temperature in degrees Celsius, Tf = temperature in degreesFahrenheit.
Example: 40 deg. F minus 32 = 8, 8 x 5 = 40, 40 divided by 9 = 4.44 deg. Centigrade.
To go the other way:
Tf = [(9/5) x Tc]+32; Tc = temperature in degrees Celsius, Tf = temperature in degrees Fahrenheit
Example: -10 deg. C x 9/5 = -18; -18 + 32 = 14 deg. F
