Comp got viruses, had new mother board installed, an now my speakers are not detected by the computer,I want to find out how to get my sound back

Left/Right balance can be adjusted in the "Sounds and Audio devices" in Control Panel. If the adjustment is not the issue then the soundcard is at fault.

Yes, it could be mother board or bad speaker wire. Or get another sound card and have someone install it for you and load the driver. again, If you have the driver for that old sound card, remove and install it again.If the sound card is on the mother board, go to the manufacture and download the driver.
