Have your battery replace with NiMH batteries (1.2 V) with 2500 mAh. I charged up some of these and my camera works fine.

MY NIKON COOLPIX S 3000 DIGITAL CAMERA WONT DO ANYTHING AT ALL

Hi

Here are some suggestions to try and see where the problem may be:

1. Have you tried to charge the battery? We would suggest trying different USB sources (e.g. a USB port on a computer as well as the Nikon supplied AC adapter)
2. Could the battery be dead? If you have tried to charge the battery in the camera via USB then there is a chance the battery is dead and needs replacing. If the camera had not been used for a long time and the battery was stored with little or no charge, the battery may now be un-chargeable.
3. If the camera has been left unused for a long time the internal battery that keeps the time/date may have discharged. You need to be able to set the time/date before the battery can be charged. If you plug the camera into a USB power source and you can see the menu on the LCD then set the date/time.

We hope these suggestions help to get the camera back up and running

Camcorder hrdpj10 wont charge via usb

Hello you can download the manual here:

http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/model-home.pl?mdl=HDRPJ10&template_id=1&region_id=1&tab=manuals#/manualsTab

The camera does not charge via usb.

You have to connect the power supply to charge up the camera:

My camera wont turn on after being charged all night and day. i checked it repeatedly to see if it was done charging and all i got was a blinking red light the whole time. it wont turn on!

The battery itself could have gone bad. If the cells within the battery are damaged, it can refuse to charge or power the camera, which would explain the blinking red light.
You'd need to purchase a replacement lithium ion battery.

I have a sony cibershot camera for over a year now, it has always worked nicely, up until a month ago, it suddenly wont turn on anymore. I,ve already charged and re-charged the battery but nothing...

make sure the batt is charging and working fine.check also the batt contacts.make sure its clean.insert batt to your camera.instead of pressing the power button, press the play button instead to power camera on. if unit turns on,might actually be an issue w/the camera unable to power on in camera mode.if it turns on initialize cam (p.75 of the manual).see if it works.if still wont turn on try using a diff batt (or if you have an optional ac adapter model#acls5k use it, attempt to power on cam to isolate issue w/power source).if batt or ac adaptor not available try to check batt with another cam if possible to test batt. if still unit doesnt turn on using a fully charged, diff batt, or using an ac adaptor, unit would reuire service. hope this info helps.thanks:)
