If this is the Ce Net Book, then perhaps the suggestion I made for the Sylvania SYNET07526 CE note book will do the trick for you as they both use the same WiFi application. see below

It is looking for a password (WiFi Network Key) You have to double click on the little computer icon down in the right tool bar area, the one with the two side radiating arcs, and possibly has a small red X under it. The red X indicates that it is NOT connected. When you double click on that icon a window called RT28701 opens up, then you click on Wireless Information tab, then you cursor down to the name of your WiFi and high light it and click the connect box. Then another window opens up called Network Properties. Uncheck "The key is provided automatically" box. This will allow you to type in your "Network Key", the password that protects your network from outsiders. This "KEY" was set up when you installed the router on your server computer. If this does not work at first, turn the machine over on it's back and using a toothpick, insert it into the little hole about an inch diagonally from the right corner of the data plate, this will re-load a new copy of everything including the WiFi RT28701 driver.

sometimes this driver gets confused. See my TIP at: http://www.fixya.com/support/r7350901-fix_synet07526_wifi_flashing

Additional Information

When I try to sign on with the red X showing, I get "The page cannot be displayed If I then double click on the icon down in the right corner I elucidated above, RT28701 opens up to "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) with all zeros in the IP address field, and Subnet Mask, with no entries in the default gateway. That is a clue to me that the auto sign on has not found a viable network or needs something else. If I then click on Wireless Information tab, The list of available networks appear in the box. The machine keeps trying to associate my previous entered name site with my prefered site and tells me the signal is good, but it cannot link up. This is a signal to me that it has lost my Network Key or that the software has failed or both. I then click on advance and delete my prefered network and hit OK, this will force the software to ask me for my network again, and notice that the prefered is missing. I click on the name of my network again and then hit connect., then the Wireless Network properties window opens up and I can insert my Network Key again after I uncheck the "The key is provided automatically" box. I enter the key and hit the OK button. I still do not get a connection, so I reboot the machine, and wait for about 30 seconds and the machine synchs up because the little RED X under the icon has disappeared. Now the machine will hook to the internet as long as I want to, but sometimes when I turn the machine on it will not synch, so I go through the above sequence again. The secret is once you have entered your key and ask for the machine to synch up you have to reboot. Why? I do not exactly know, but I suspect that the WiFi driver looses it

HOW do i use wps on my ipad with WNR2000

Depending on your browser, download or display the pdf of the WNR2000 manual ( http://documentation.netgear.com/wnr2000/enu/202-10397-01/pdfs/FullManual.pdf ). The manual might also be found on the CD that came with the router.Follow instructions Chapter 2 Page 7 to enable/setup WPA2-PSK (AES).Make sure you SAVE/APPLY the settings before proceeding. Follow instructions Chapter 2 Page 17 to Disable Router's PIN. When you do, make sure you leave the box checked to "Keep Existing Wireless Settings".Make sure you SAVE/APPLY the settings before proceeding. Here's a work-around ff the above doesn't fix the issue for you. Sorry I don't have iPad-specific instructions, but I don't have access to an iPad/iPhone at the moment. I've done the following on iPads, iPhones, Android phones and tablets, Windows phones and PC's - it works on virtually all Wi-Fi-capable devices..:
Instead of letting your iPad find the network and trying to connect with the password, try manually creating a new Wi-Fi network connection by typing in your Wi-Fi network name (SSID), selecting WPA2 (AES) encryption and entering the Wi-Fi password your configured in STEP 2 above. Please note: You'll have to forget the Wi-Fi network in your iPad's settings if you keep your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) the same as it is currently.

Wi-fi not obtaining IP address and if turn off wi-fi can not get to turn back on

Assuming you're trying to connect via wireless router. If you connect, but then aren't able to get to the Internet. I would something is wrong between the router to the modem to the wall (DSL/Cable modem) rather then your tablet device. You can connect your device to your router and you device will show it has a wifi connection, but beyond the router something may be amiss. Try seeing what you get from another device like computer or laptop. That might get you closer to your actual issue,

Cant connect to internet

Well, I may be an 18 yr. old and I may be no wiz but I'm big into computers and there are several solutions to this. 1) If there is a password put in the wi-fi, you need to: have a device in which will be able to put in the type of security and/or put in the EXACT password. 2) Make sure it is YOUR wi-fi you're trying to connect to. And 3) If 1 and 2 don't work, contact the company of which your wi-fi was bought from. I hope this explaination was helpful for your problem.

Finding router ssid

The SSID is not an indication on a label on the Wi-Fi device, it is the identifier broadcasted by the device ; to find it, two possibilities :
1) if you remember its password, access the setup of the wi-fi device (your router) ; this is done thru any computer connected to the router : simply enter the IP adress of the router (try 192.168.0.1 or find the right one using the ipconfig command) in the browser, and navigate to the wi-fi settings.
2) if you can't access the router, go to the wi-fi settings of your smartphone or tablet or netbook, and find he way to show the list of the access points available in the surrounding - yours is probably the first one (the stronger signal) in the list.
Good luck.

How do i connect my wi-fi on a Delstar Netbook

Is the wireless enabled on the laptop, if it is then it should detect any available wi-fi network when you switch it on.
If it does'nt detect a wi-fi signal it could be a problem with the wi-fi card driver.I don't know if you have the user guide for it but I thought you might need it so I uploaded it here for you.

I did notice in the manual there is a master reset switch recessed in the bottom of the case. You can use it to reset back to the default settings as if you had just bought it.
You must save all you personal files first though or you will use them.

Describe your 7" G-Netbook

There may be many reasons for this. Please check the following things one by one.

1. If you have another known good laptop then try it with your wi-fi router. See if the wi-fi router is able to connect to the internet

2. If you don't have another laptop then use an ethernet cable (RJ45) cable to connect to the wi-fi router. See if this helps.

3. While connected with the wi-fi router see if you can access the router. open any internet browser and type 192.168.0.0. you should get the router page. If you don't get then you have to configure the router first.

4. Check the internet settings of your browser. There will be "internet options" or similar in the menu of your browser. Click that. In the GUI you will get "connections" tab. Click that and select the proper wi-fi setup.

My sylvania netbook wont connect to wi-fi.....

To connect to your wireless router, it needs the router's wireless settings configured and also the wireless cards in all the laptops and or computers needs to be configured with the router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktop computers can communicate with your wireless router.

To secure your wireless network from unauthorized access, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

Well, I bought this to take to public places with Wi-Fi. Will it work there? Also, I don't have wi-fi at home but my friend uses her laptop at my house saying it probably works because a neibor has Wi-Fi....

It should work fine if the public places have open (non-secure) WI-FI. Try it at your local library.
I would not use your neighbor non-secure WIFI since it can be trace back to you and it is not fair to use your neighbor for free unless you ask your neighbor or offer to share the cost which is probably the best thing to do to reduce the cost.

HOW DO I CONNECT THE INTERNET 2 A NOTEBOOK

There are two ways for you to do this. First, enable WI-FI on your laptop, under your network settings. This should be on. You may also have to go into your firewall and allow wi-fi. Once enabled, when you are in Wi-FI area, connect to the network connection. Also, you can take the ethernet plug out of your desktop or router and plug it straight into your netbook.

Hope this works.
