Why i cant sign in to my yahoo messenger even my id and password are correct?

1st select the option forgot passwrod at sign in window
then
yahoo will ask u the security question wat u wrote while creating ur id answer to those question then can rest ur password

Try using a different browser like Firefox, Internet Explorer, or Chrome. Are you using a different computer? If so, the website may not recognize any cookies, sometimes this will result in an error code or preventing you from signing in even with the correct id/password. Make sure you are using caps or non caps as your sign in may be case sensitive.
If you are still unable to sign in with a different brower or using the computer you normally use, you may need to change your preferences. Go to messenger and click on "connection preferences", then click on "connect directly to the internet", click "apply", click "Ok" to sign back in.

3. Enter your firewall or proxy server's address and port number. Contact your network administrator (if you're at work), or your Internet service provider (if you're at home) to determine the correct firewall and proxy settings.
4. Click the "OK" button at the bottom of the window.
5. Yahoo! Messenger will ask you if you want to sign in with your new proxy settings. Click the "OK" button.
6. Enter your Yahoo! ID and password and click the "Sign In" button.

Check if your password and id are correctly enter. Please check and enter it again. But if it continues follow the steps to recover your password and id.
First of all, you go to yahoo mail.
Click i can't access my account.
Select forgot my password or my account has be compromised
Click Next.
Enter your I.D and code shown below.

When you a have an account with yahoo mail automatically you are sign to yahoo messenger. So you need a yahoo ID before you can enter yahoo messenger and you have you have yahoo id you will log in with your yahoo id and password. to enter yahoo messenger.

You can click on yahoo messenger icon and enter you id and password and then click sign in.

But if don't have the yahoo messenger icon, just go to yahoo and click on yahoo messenger and enter your id and password to sign in.

May be ur entering wrong password or id.....click on forgotten password....if u remeber ur correct mail id enter ur mail id....or u can answer the two questions and enter your date of birth.....if u enter it correctly it will let u change ur password n u can agin login using new password......hope this helps....

Too many login tries with wrong password on one ID causes lock the ID. This is a security lock for your Yahoo! ID. If you know the correct password you can unlock it by opening http://www.yahoo.com/r/m6 or http://mail.yahoo.com, for the first time type your ID correctly and type any password(if password is wrong no problem), click Sign In . in reply the same page will appear again... this time type your ID and password correctly, type the captcha verification code correctly as shown in image box and click Sign In. if your password is right your ID will be unlocked.
