ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE STARTING ANY REPAIRS
Your problem sounds like drum rollers have flat spots on them or in need of lubrication, or maybe your drum belt has slipped off of the idler arm pulley.
If you have a front loading machine,

Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer.
Be REAL CAREFUL not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch.
Then remove the top of the dryer.
Remove the front of the dryer. This will expose the drum and belt.
Remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm
pulley and motor.
Now is a good time to check the belt to see if it has slipped off of the
idler arm pulley and also to check the belt condition for wear.
Be sure to note the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go
to reinstall the belt.
Check your drum rollers for flat spots or wear, if they have flat spots
or wear on them replace them.
If the drum rollers don't have flat spots or wear on them then they probably
only need lubrication. Lubricate the shaft of the rollers with a good grade
of machine oil such as 3 in One oil.
Reassemble the dryer, plug back in. This should solve your noise problem.

I have a 2011 Nissan Cube. It makes a loud racket when turning i start it in the morning, the whines for several minutes. Husband said sounds like power steering pump when it goes out.

Check the power steering fluid first and make sure it is at the proper level. Also, look under the car for any wire or other stuff that may have gotten caught in the wheel and steering mechanism.

My dryer (maytag atlantis) has started making a loud clunking noise with each revolution. its still drying fine but sounds terrible. any thoughts?

A loose belt will allow the drum to slip when clothes hit the paddles in the drum. It sometimes sounds like a pair of tennis shoes are in the dryer when it slips and is usually rythymic.

These machines also use drum rollers that can make a racket when they go bad.

Hotpoint condenser dryer making loud continuous noise whilst spinning

Pull the front panel off and check the roller wheels that the drum rides on. These have bearings in them that will eventually go bad and start to make a racket. They can be easily replaced and are usually sold at appliance parts stores in pairs.

Odd loud fan type noise

what you are describing is the cooling fan. That fan will come on to keep the electronic control panel cool. It is normal for tat to come on even if your done with the oven. I dont think is should be as loud as you describe. I would try the oven again and if it is still loud I would call for service because it is new. That fan will also come on when you use the self clean cycle.
