If its like the one I am looking at ... there is no DVD drive, just a plastic filler that you can remove with force (be careful) but there does appear to be a connector on the board. Having trouble finding one. Let me know if you find one to install.

The most common reason is that the physical hard drives are not "Pinned" correctly. If you did not move a jumper pin or know what I am talking about, then this probably applies to you. If you would like instuctions let me know!
The button would be along the right hand side usually, mine's in the silver trim along the right side, its small and theres 3 of them. 2 with an arrow on them and one without.
Yes it is - but first - make sure that you have inserted the right disk (cd for cd burner). However, you only have 800 mb of available space on a cd disk to use, and I don;t know how many files you have or how big they are, so I can't say how many disks you may need. However, if your laptop has a usb port, I would highly recommend using an external hard drive instead. A 500 gb drive (made by Seagate) will run you about $125, and is well worth th investment.
