In 99% of the case its the heating element take the dryer apart and run your hand around the element in most cases the burn causes a burn/blemish on the element a dangerous but simple way to check if you dont know how to use a multimeter is to run a power cord dirrect to the two points on the element polarity ( positive negative) does not matter if the element does not start to heat up its blown / replace it

best of luck

E15 error code on hoover tumble dryer

Controls
  • The control unit on the tumble dryer will vary among different makes and models. The main purpose of the controls is to allow the user to select the drying cycle. You can choose the time and temperature setting on most units, while others allow custom settings such as moisture sensors and end-of-cycle alert signals. The controls may include a dial or a touch panel and LED screen display. Some tumble dryers allow you to independently select the appropriate time for the load you are drying and separate programs for temperature.
Motor
  • The motor inside the tumble dryer spins the basket to allow the clothes to tumble while being dried. The tumbling action allows the air to pass through the clothing to dry them faster. Heating laundry that is stagnant will likely dry the clothing on the outside while leaving damp clothing inside the pile. The constant motion, along with the heat and steam created by heating the clothing, reduces wrinkles. The motor also powers the fan that delivers the heated air to the basket of laundry. The heater can be an electrical element or gas powered.

My 80 series Kenmore Dryer is heating up, tumbling, but my clothes aren't drying. It's taking 6-7 cycles to get anything dry, I have checked the vent hose and everything. All seems to be checking out ok....

You need to check your vent, or your vent system in your dryer. You also need to check to see if your clothes are tumbling. If not then your belt could be broke. Good luck!

Kenmore dryer 75731 won't tumble. It heats fine.

Hi.

The machhine is belt driven check the belt first.

If the motor is must be tested energizing it.

In all cases test the lid switch to ensure it is not opening contact when machine starts tumbling.

The wiring harness to motor must be tested.

If there is no other fault elsewhere, replace the timer board.

Start from the belt, if the machine is heating, then it is probably a broken belt.

A tumble dryer that isn't heating up at all needs checking with a continuity test meter. The most common cause is a heating element failure, or t.o.c's going open circuit. It depends on which make and model of tumble dryer you have as to how easy it is to get to the relevant parts. Some tumble dryers have heating elements that are easily accessible by removing the back panel, and can be tested for continuity or checked for obvious breakage. Others though have their heating elements inside, which aren't accessible without stripping the dryer down. Tumble dryer heating elements are always protected by thermal fuses which are usually simple devices with 2 wires connected. They can be tested for continuity with a test meter

If power is getting to the tumble dryer and the socket is definitely OK, then the most common problem with tumble dryers not working is when the door micro switch fails, or the catch on the door that operates the switch either breaks or no longer activates the door switch. Check for broken door catches. There is usually a plastic peg on the door that pushes through a hole in the tumble dryer's casing where the door catch is. Closing the door should operate a simple micro switch. If the plastic peg is broken or bent it might not operate the switch properly

Tumble dryer

Can be a few things. Start by resetting your circuit breaker. The dryer motor can run with partial power but the heating element cannot. Make sure your not set to a no heat setting. After those checks you have to get into the mchine to check your heating element and thermostats.
