Hi, Every time I try to scan a page on my HP Officejet J4680 All-in-One from my MacBook Pro I get a message that says "an unknown error has occurred. Can you please help me with this??? I also would like to hook my wireless HP Officejet J4680 All-in-One up as wireless, but don't know how to do that. I have only been able to print through the USB cord. Upgrade ur drivers. Select printer icon n then rt click go to trouble shooting

After placing the document in HP offficejet pro L7590 then I pressed scan to computer then ok the reply no scan options

HP has particluar issues relating to install. Essentially you cannot use plug and play.
Here is what I would do, totally uninstall the printer. Then go to HP.com and download the correct install program for yoru printer and OS. Follow those directions exactly, specifically when to plug in the printer.

If issue remains, contact HP boys directly, via chat and they can straighten you out, usually for free.

Please install the printer software and try to scan via the installed software from the computer. Or, start scan using scan button from printer; after installing software.

After loading the auto feeder, Scan Menu asks me to select computer. I press OK. The banner reads (my name)+ macbook pro. I press OK. Screen reads Tiff To Preview and then Press START SCAN to begin. I press OK. Screen reads date and time and Original loaded. I press START SCAN. Screen reads Starting Scan...., but reverts to Original loaded. I have also tried scanning using the computer (MAC). At times it will run one page of four and then a screen pops up reading..Unknown Error. The hp will print and is showing connected. Thanks

HP Officejt J4680 - All in one Printer from HP, whcih will have Printing, Fax, Scanner and Copier facilities.

Normal catridges recommened by HP are given below :

01. HP 901 - Black which will print 200 Pages.
02. HP 901 - Tri Colour which will print 200 Pages.
03. HP 901 XL Black which is a bigger one that will print 900 pages regulary.

Solution:

Please use the originai catridges for this printer and there will not be any issues.

In spite of this, the problem continues, please call the local HP Authorized Printer vendor to solve this problem.

If the Printer is under warranty, you will get a replacement printer with same or the higher configuration which is available in the market.
