You probably added the wrong Ram memory. Some if those 512 memory, are not suitable for windows XP and UP.Try removing the 512 Ram module and see what happens.

Good luck, and make sure you have a good power source and do not interrupt the flashing of the bios. If it stops in the middle of flashing, it will brick your motherboard and make it probably not fixable.
