My Zoom H2 recorder is not recognized by my new computer with Windows 7. What can I do to solve this?

No solution, just a workaround. I have used the H2 with firmware 1.90 successfully with Windows 7, but lately the H2 is not recognized anymore. Built-in obsolescence maybe?
Anyway, I just take out the card and put it in a card reader. It is faster also. Card readers are cheap.

Can zoom in or out when in full page mode anymore, just started yesterday aug 10/11

there is a pretty obvious bug when using 'Marquee Zoom' (Alt+5) in the full screen mode (F11). When you press 'Ctrl' to toggle 'Zoom In' and 'Zoom Out' (changing the little magnifying glass cursor from + to - and back again), it sticks with 'Zoom Out' and refuses to toggle back to 'Zoom In'. And then the only way to recover 'Zoom In' is to exit full screen mode, whereupon 'Ctrl' regains its toggling power and everything is back to normal

Garmin Nuvi 205w - The map won't zoom in. While driving it just all of a sudden zoomed way out and now it won't zoom in anymore.

You can restore the Nuvi 205 system software to its factory condition by running Garmin's WebUpdater service. You may also want to try a hard reset of your Nuvi.

These are both good steps to take when your GPS starts acting funny.

I hope that helps.

Sigma DP1 digital zoom troubleshooting

Most people disengage the digital zoom and only use the optical zoom. The digital only enlarges the pixels thereby degrading the image...why would you want to do that?

Digital Zoom Problem

Three things: First, it is possible to disable the digital zoom feature on your camera. See the attached picture for instructions on how to make sure that digital zoom support is turned on. Second, digital zoom is only supported when you have the LCD turned on. Third, digital zoom isn't really a zoom. It is simply taking a smaller picture, and then stretching it out. Instead, you should take the picture with no zoom, then crop the photo using your PC to get it to the size you like. Keep in mind that digital zooming and cropping are technically the same thing. Both lower the amount of information you are capturing, and both will reduce the overall quality of the photo when you print it. I recommend Preclick's photo organizer (for Windows). It is free and can be downloaded from www.preclick.com.
