I have a genie pro 88 garage door opener push the button and it opens just fine traviels up to the limit switch and stops perfect. then push the button to go down and nota,

are the wires connected to the motor correct
for the limit switch there should be one wire ( normally black or neutral going to the center connection and the other wire ( red or active wires going to either of the other two terminals
that set up means that power is available to the limit switches and the return is the neutral wire
it works like this
on the up direction power is delivered to the motor by the controller box through a closed limit switch
when the up limit is circuit is broken the motor stops
the down button reverses the polarity of the motor in the controller box and so the motor runs in reverse through the the lower limit switch until that circuit is broken In the down action the upper limit switch circuit is completer but the control box has no power to it until the lower switch circuit is brokenis broken
the motor is dc voltage and to getting it to go up or down is done by the control box changing polarity for the motor power according to the button position pressed on the remote

Can I use tje existing screw/rail of the 1/2HP Genie CM86001C and replace the old head with the new PowerMax 1500 head or does the new PowerMax 1500 require a new screw/rail?

No rail wont fit quite right. I would consider a liftmaster/craftsman/chaimberlain with yellow antenna wire. The liftmaster models are 8355 or 8550. Not sure how those model #'s translate to the craftsmans and chaimberlains. These units use 3 frequencies which are chosen automatically by opener radio. This gives you the best option to avoid interference. Genie typalically uses 2, but their fixed, so its a crapshoot to avoid interference. Do not confuse these frequencies with the rolling code feature which is a static frequency with only the "channels" changing.

Does anyone know the Schematics for foot pedal wiring?

It will depend greatly on the company, and age of the sewing machine. Some machines use a simple rheostat in the pedal to vary the power supplied to the motor(old and new machines both use this scheme). Other pedals have motor control circuitry in them, and you would need to trace and diagnose the circuit board to fix your problems(probably easier and cheaper to just get a new pedal, or circuit board off ebay). The third kind I have seen actually used Pulse Width Modulation to supply power to the DC motor in the machine. Each of these would be wired differently.

But, probably the answer you are looking for is, 2 yellow wires will be the AC input. Red and Black will be the variable voltage DC output. Most likely. Well, 50/50 odds.

Supply brand and model information, and someone can probably answer your question more exactly.

Gene garage door openers

are you sure that it doesn't just stay on for 30 seconds to one minute and then shut off? if it stays on all the time, the light switch has been manually turned on and you need to turn it onto 'automatic'

How to set acsctg type 2

There is a button on the motor head you can press. Press it then press the button on the remote 3 times and try it. If not try it again. Genies are bad for not coding in the first time. Make sure there are new batteries in it. Thanks BB

I have a genie H6000A garage opener but the remote is missing. So I'm planning on buying a new remote control but I also need to know how to reset it.

There is a button on the motor head you can press. It will be black more than likely. Press and hold this button until; the led light goes out by it. ----- The press and release the learn button and then press the remote button 3 times , wait for 5 seconds and try. Sometimes Genie remotes take multiple times to program. For multiple remotes repeat from -----Thanks BB
