You can download the driver on there website support find your model and download. If there is no support driver in there site download the driver navigator. if you cannot find i can share you my copy.
Make sure you have the driver for the bluetooth installed http://support.acer.com/us/en/drivers_download.aspx

Hi tallyman, you lost bet ...when it has a bluetooth switch it will have a hardware installed. Best solution is got is a simple call to acer service support,the problem very very simple in 5738 machines they installed foxcom bluetooth device a very much updated version.But the drives in your cd will be broadcom drivers install aspire 3810T model bluetooth drivers.
You will probably have to look on the net for a driver that is compatible with windows 7 for your bluetooth device. If you cant find one designed for windows 7 you could try a driver made for vista as many vista drivers work for windows 7 devices as well
I had the same problem. BG2046 , Acer DVD was not able to solve the problem (Aspire 5738 ) I downloaded the update from Acer.co.in and then forced a have disk install of the driver from downloaded driver. Which installed my Bluetooth.

It is Better do this : Instead of Updating the drivers, roll back the driver first and unintall the Hardware Totally from your system through the device manager. Next, restart your system, and then it prompts for 'New Hardware Found', use the Finger Printer Driver That you have, to re-install it afresh, if you dont have you can download it from here : http://www.getpcmemory.com/drivers/download-acer-aspire-5738-5738g-5738z-notebook-windows-xp-drivers/
After that, restart your system again. It should work like that now.
