Remove battery and again insert it... then connect the a/c supply to the laptop and then check whether the power led is on or not .. if yes then on your laptop ..

Hi, lets try to problem solve. I would first try to gently push down on your power cord where it enters your laptop to see if you get a response while you are powering on our laptop. If you get some sort of response then maybe its a loose connection and you will need to replace your power board. Gently wiggle it to see if its loose. Next troubleshoot would be to remove one of your memory chips.. then power it on to see if you get a response.. then maybe swap them around to see if the issue is your memory. Does your laptop make any beeping noises? Take a look at your power cable to see if the light is on (if there is a light) I don' t think there is one with the 4720. Maybe you can try to power on without the battery to see if you get a response. Then maybe try with the battery with the unit unplugged. Try these things and give us some feedback on your progress.
My laptop been droped. Laptop aceraspire
5740g. No light indication when i connect ac adapter and no response
when i press the power button totaly dead. What is the problem
Either you have a bad ac adapter(powercord) or the power jack where you plug it in on the laptop is bad.The power board where the button you push is located could also be bad.Start with trying another ac adapter first.
Hi,
Try removing the power supply (from the wall) and the battery pack. Hold down the power button for 30 seconds. Plug the mains power (from the wall) back in and then press the power button. It should work. Then you can replace your battery pack. Don't know why it works but it has worked for me in the past. Good luck!
